In that case I expect an announcement imminent stating we are playing Friday's.
Just like Sporting Club Leigh announced at the start of Super League after Professor Dale's survey also returned a resounding preference for Sundays

| I maybe be a bit optomistic here but I think the opening of the whistling ren may bring a few more people in especially on a summers sunday afternoon enjoying a pre match drink & post match tea out in the occassional time we get sun lol It'll be good all round for Leigh in general with the addition of the whistling ren.

| I think the Whistling Wren will do very well on matchdays with a corresponding drop in bar takings at the LSV.

| The club have asked the RL for primarily Sundays. Also the shut down for pitch work which was 6 weeks last season will be only 2 this year. Lets have your next jibe at the board Harold

Nah, they'll just spend the afternoon in there and ask the fans how we got on as they come out.

| Quote ="Leyther_Matt"One thing that did cross my mind is if they somehow seed the draw - good for avoiding Featherstone, less good if we're wanting Halifax to do us a favour and knock Fev out on our behalf
23 names (I think) were mentioned by Rowls.
Brierley, McNally, =#FF0000Littler, Gardner, Higson, Pownall, Maden, Ridyard, Beswick, Penkywicz, Nicholson, Coyle, Finnegan, Taylor, Goulden, Ryan Duffy, Ostick, Parker, Briscoe, Rowe and others who I can't remember
'"
Is anyone else slightly concerned that we only have 5 outside backs signed up and, with Higson out until April, that we will start the season with just 4? Littler and Gardner centres, Maden and Pownall wings. Doesn't leave much room for injuries!
Higson/Maden/Gardner can all do a job at both wing or centre if required but we still look very thin in this part of the squad. I'm sure it is somewhere PR is looking at bulking out with Dual Reg players but I still think we need one or two more 'proven' players who are contracted to LEIGH first and foremost. Ballard would have been ideal IMO but obviously he went elsewhere. Do we have any outside backs other than the ones listed? Or has anybody heard of any particularly good backs we may be getting on Dual Reg?

No in all honesty, upon reflection I have been very complimentary in what the current board have achieved.

Strange descision by the club to go for Sundays when the report clearly states that Sunday is the worst day to hold the games.

| My personal preference is Sundays when there is no footie season and Saturday Evenings when it is.
Fridays ? Well doesn't bother me but Sky has a game that night doesn't it ?
I really don't know how pro footie players manage as they primarily play Sundays and in our case most of our players work during the week so imo Sundays except during the footie season is best for the club.

Simple, Sunday had the lowest average crowd. The vote is irrelevant, moving games from Sunday despite the preference of the 75%, they still turned up on Fridays and Thursdays. Therefore if the club ignored the 75 % they would still turn up. After a couple of years the "I don't like change" brigade would get used to the game day change. The average attendance would increase, the players would be happier and the revenue would increase for the club. This in turn would mean the funds to pay for better players, which in turn would mean crowds would increase further, which in turn would mean an increase in revenue etc etc etc. No brainer really!

| Who did we play on the Sundays and who on the Fridays because like it or not that has a bearing, which is where a survery like this is of less value. I know what you are saying. When matches are little more than friendlies it means nothing. Which is your preferred day was the question, Sunday was the answer. They didn't ask which of these opponents will you not bother coming to watch.

The vote is not irrelevant. Taking the TV games out of the equation, if the game is on Sunday I go but if it is on Friday I don't.

| Not including Thursday night TV games. I missed 3 games in 2012, Each was a Friday match and each was due to family / other commitments. In 2011, I missed no home games. I never purchased a ST last season because of this reason so the club missed out on a small bit of revenue.
Now I'm sure others can point to attending more matches because of Friday's but as my mate Arthur says 'Friday nights is a young mans game' and he only attended one night match.
At our age , we like to be settled at home after 8pm

| So many variables involved that skew the figures - when was the last time we had a Sunday league game against Widnes/Halifax/Featherstone? From a personal point of view, the Friday games were an experiment worth trying, but I wouldn't say it was a resounding success as such and so would try to stick to Sunday's where possible hereafter.

| The majority of our more high profile fixtures were Friday night matches last year including home games against Halifax and Featherstone.
IMO those attendances would have been higher if played on a Sunday. Without doubt there would have been an higher percentage of away support anyway.

Spot on.
3PM Sunday unless anything major causes a problem , might get to see a few Home league games again next season if that happens

Think you'd have to consider how many fans who are involved with the junior game which would mean they wouldn't be able to attend a 12.30pm kick off on a Sunday.
