As an FC fan who's not seen much of Ellis, having read this it sounds like we should be pretty excited at the prospect of him coming to the KC (if it happens). Sounds like he had a big role in your win today too. Is he ready to slot in at SL level, do you think? We're guessing we'll keep Long for another season with Ellis as understudy, but Long's fitness record means he'll probably get plenty of opportunity. What are his main attributes - our biggest miss at the moment is our long kicking game - what is his like? Cheers for any info.

Hit or miss TBH but full time practise and coaching should see it right look through these threads and you will see I post links to all our games on BLIP.TV judge for yourself.

He has a really good kicking game, both long and short, and kicks 40/20's for fun. He looks chunky but has a good level of fitness at our level. Didn't look out of place when we played Catalans a few weeks ago. Not quite ready for a full season at SL level but will definately do a job next year if you use him wisely and don't over play him

I think he is brilliant and sometimes produces inspired kicks and plays.

Wish he would stay with us.

Leigh are set to issue a similar press release this morning. Personally I don't like the timing of the announcement, just a couple of days before the big Halifax game. It again smacks of differing rules for Super League clubs, but at risk of sounding bitter, I'll leave that one there.

Ellis is a potential SL star and I look forward to seeing him finish the season with us and hopefully picking up silverware before he goes.

To be fair Hull have done things totally by the book, approached Leigh etc.

As his performance shows on at the weekend, he isn't going to let this effect his performance.

Oh I wasn't having a go at Hull, as you said, they have followed protocol, but I think it highlights that protocol needs to change slightly.

Good player though, have enjoyed seeing him play for my club this season

Wasn't the announcement due to be made earlier though but Arthur Thomas' resignation delayed it all?

Like I said, I put this on your board way before the was any talk of him going hull.

Jamie is good player and will be missed by leigh but I'm made up for him and hope he takes his chance at hull.

Well there'll be other diamonds in the rough for us to uncover. Unfortunately because of the corrupt system of franchising all we do is make these lads better players and dont get the opportunity to use them ourselves at the next level which for me is disgusting.

Best of luck to Jamie though, he's given nothing less than 100% effort to the cause thus far.

With D/C's McCarthy & Mitchell, we didn't even get time to see them lacing their boots, before Wakefield and Harlequins snaffled them!
