I would play Littler if available rest Tommy Goulden for Wed bring Brown back from Batley and shove him straight in against Leeds any of the forwards who have injurys from Worky I would rest and bring in couple of the Reserve team Ostick ect

A solid performance by us would lend some much needed credibility to the championship division, not only that it would give our Superleague aspirations a real shot in the arm.

Well the idea that we might lose a league game if we have a hard game on Friday would not be the end of our season would it ? We have a very good squad with a lot of strength in depth and I am sure we are good enough to finish top of the Championship this season.

We have played all the top few teams away already' apart from Doncaster.

A bit less strength in depth than we had though with Littler and Aspinwall missing for at least a month. I know the reasons that have been given for these loan moves but I have a little question mark as to why this week and not after the Fax game for example

We can afford to lose a league game or two. I'd still fancy us on the Wednesday afterwards anyway.

Based upon last years champs results and our current Points difference we could probably lose 4 games and still finish top.

Field a weakened team on Friday and get mauled on live TV could cost us some supporters. Don't forget that for some folks, Friday night will be the first time they've seen this years squad in action.

Whatever is on display could well sway a 50/50 supporter in either direction.

Just consider this scenario...both Ridy and Ryan get injured badly and are out for the season. How many will we win/lose then. Can anyone guarantee this won't happen.......yep there is actually.

Any other season I would, like everyone apparently, prefer our strongest team. IMO there is too much at stake.

Ok to keep on the pessimistic trail. 7 points can be overhauled in three bad weeks or by 2 weeks on Sunday. Still 13 games to go.

Now though I will counter that argument in that I suppose all other challengers will be taking points off each other. The point though is no one knows what will happen. What I do know is there are always repercussions on this board when a decision goes wrong.

Francis , I said at the beginning of the Season we could afford to lose 3 League games and still finish top , I stand by that Prediction , if we beat Fev at the LSV later in the Season , its goodnight Irene for everyone .

Fax have already lost 5 games and still have to play Fev at the Shay ,Donny will lose a few more yet this season ,leaving only Fev as our danger ,Worky didn't play that bad yesterday ,Charlie knows , whatever team Rowls puts out at Headingley on Friday , they will do Leigh proud , im sure ,we then have 5 days to recover , its only the same as last season when we appeared on Premier Sports on the Thursday after a Sunday game .

Your opinion is not bull Derek. It is important to point out that going all out to win at Leeds places a win against Halifax a week on Wednesday in jeopardy given that it will take so much out of the team and Halifax is a very short turn around.

However I am getting more excited about the Leeds match now and I think it is of equal importance we use this to showcase on the big stage what Leigh Centurions really are all about. To do that we have to simply target win number 17 as tough a task that will obviously be. It is all about 13 v 13 on the day, lets get stuck into them and enjoy it.

I can't wait for it, just need to work out how best to get up to Headingly.

Play the strongest team possible against Leeds, if necessary give some a rest for the Fax game, our squad players will see it as an opportunity to try and claim the shirt and perform accordingly.

That way we can therefore win both games.

Yes, all of our lot are still on it. I am just not 100% certain yet on the time I will leave work. Lostock lane is shut for bridge repairs and with road works in Westhoughton it is a bit of a nightmare getting back to Leigh.

Don't worry, I have a plan B up my sleeve.
