Just hope we don't pick up too many injuries. Personally I can't understand we we have these pre-season friendlies with SL teams. Any benefit we may get from increased attendance (although that will be debatable with Harlequins) must be more than offset by the risk of our young players being injured by bigger, fitter, stronger players. Unfortunately this sounds like men against boys if that really is the wire team.

Harlequins are not demanding half the gate money. It was reported they only want the expenses involved in getting to the game.

Hopefully not direct from Australia, or Heathrow, via two nights in the Raddison Edwardian in Manchester!!

Well it is a fact the match against Wire will make money for the club and the club needs it. I think our players will benefit from the run out and players are just as likely to be injured playing a Championship club.

These SL clubs all wanting to play us is down to one thing , they are guaranteed to get a match played at the LSV on a good playing surface , thankfully we benifit from it , and hopefully the RL fans of the town will come along to watch it

The key will be the first 10 mins last year we were penalised for fun and were 24 down before seeing the ball.

If we can restrict Wire to within 24 at HT we could end up getting to within 18 by close.

Both clubs win, Wire get a good run out after the warm weather stuff and we get some cash and a chance to see how some of our lads look against the best.
