Not too sure about Clare as I don't remember much about him, it's easy to see how you struggle without the other 4 especially Higham, still a class act and could quite easily have made the difference last week, very happy to have turned up last week to see he was missing from the warm up.

Bit of bad luck for Clare,early impressions showed he had gelled straight away and showing his quality.Another we need back asap.

Essentially we've had just enough , 19/20 to pick from each week , but not always in the positions we need , plus we are under no illusions that our squad isn't the youngest , so some could have done with rests and others have played with injuries

Just the usual , like most other clubs , just strange it never seems to get a mention in the media unlike most other clubs

It was said we had one of the smallest squad 25 I think it was and one of those Lewis Foster is out on loan and so is Ridy now leaves us with 23

Childs didn't think those two incidents warranted 10 mins in the bin yet, Hanbury was binned for holding down and that proved to be very costly for Widnes!

That's the trouble with the laws as they stand. The RFL see technical offences such a holding down in certain circumstance deserving of an automatic 10 minutes in the sin bin yet violence is left to the discretion of the referee.

Shows lack of balance in the original squad. Able to send two pivots out on loan, but a centre gets injured and we have to reshuffle the whole back line.

Indeed , I'm still angry that McShane's blatant dangerous and deliberate IMO spear tackle against Hock in the opening minute of our 1 st game warranted nothing more than a penalty ( and a warning for Gareth for his reaction ) , and yet he then received a 3 match ban , it was a televised game , ridiculous

Get a grip Cokey he told me that there was a spear tackle on Hock. He did not say what offence Hock committed to get his ban. From your response I guess it was a spear tackle as well. You obviously already knew that but is was not obvious to a non Leigh fan.

Hock didn't get a ban,McShane did. BTW - It was a 2 match ban reduced to one after an epg.

It was McShanes 1 st tackle of the season , it was on Gareth Hock , now then , is it beyond the realms of possibility that Daryll Powell would have told his players to ' wind up ' Gareth as soon as they could ?

Now this wasn't just a ' niggle ' , Mcshane was 2 nd/3 rd man in , picked Gareth up between the legs ( no possibility of poor tackling or accidental ) and drove him into the pitch

It was a clear yellow , probably a red due to the deliberate nature , it was 1 st tackle of the season , no fatigue involved , no low single tackle and player goes over the top , it was deliberate , it was on TV , the video ref had time to analyse it , McShane should have gone , he even dropped onto Hock with his elbow after doing it

So Leigh got a penalty , but after that nothing , other clubs then benifitted from McShanes ban , Mr Hicks bottled the decision , he could have asked the VR to confirm his opinion

YOU automatically assumed that Gareth committed a crime to get a ban , if he had done what Mcshane did I have no doubt he would have been instantly red carded and there would have been calls for a lengthy ban
