| Quote ="FredParky"So if grounded before try line and re-promoted on or over try line its a double movement which is a penalty, if a knock on before the line its either a handover or scrum, if grounded before try line its either play on or hand over
yet ref awards a 20m restart which says he thinks 1. knock on over line 2. touch in goal as corner flag goes down 3. if 6th tackle and no grounding = 20m restart
????'"
Seems then TJ said ke knocked on over the line.Fair enough they do not get paid enough to call it any other way than they see it unless of course it has something to do with a far Eastern Betting scam.

| Outstanding display yesterday , very fair result the whole team winning the M.O.T.M award , we ran the lines well , handling at times was definately a joy to watch , fluidity of some moves and ofcourse converting possesion into points , fantastic display from all the Leigh team . We'll even forgive u Mick for that wild pass to our invisible winger , am sure he got ribbed off his team mates later for that one
Congratulations to Mr Millward after a very rewarding day at the office , well done Leythers !!!

| Just finished watching it back Fred and forget what I said. It does look like there was a Sheffield hand in there but the ref had the best chance to see what had happened. It was Hilly who hit there lad late and I hope he doesn't do something that daft when we really need him on the field. Love the interview after.

| I'm conscious of a number of factors with this 'experiment' one being a time one (mine when the caravan season is upon us ) another is opponent coaches getting a quick look at us (though Ian doesnt seem bothered about that) a loss of sales revenue (ive had two cancellations of regular orders since I started putting the games on blip and I didnt have many to start with though if there are any businesses out there who want a very reasonable advert deal ) but my main one is people who would normally go and will see this as another excuse not to attend, though I am quite sure we are the only club who provides this service to its supporters. The main point of doing it was a request by Ian to try and get game info to the players quickly so they could study the teams performances before the coaching staff goes through their individual performances on a one to one basis therby saving players and coaching time. The reason I'm 'spouting' all this is just to try and give people a taste of how the coaches are using 'video' on a regular basis, I'm certainly finding it a challenge ( an enjoyable one though) working with Ian and thinking back what im doing now is what Turk wanted all that time ago and which way the technology (well affordable) has now come and how it can be used.
I think I will have to have a meeting with Allan Rowley and Dave Bradshaw to solicit thier views, I do hope it continues but if it doesn't/can't I do hope people will understand.

| Wouldn't worry about it affecting attendances Fred, nobody in their right mind would deliberately avoid going to the game purely on the basis of being able to watch it for free a while later.

Grandson asked Litter in the Park hotel after the match, who took the player out and a wink and nod said it all. Hilly was also really anoyed that he had been sin binned.

| Having watched the full game (Thanks Fred!) on BLIP, for me Mills was the stand-out performer. As has been said, Hilly looked more like a stand-off on a couple of occassions. Ridyard and Thornley (sp?) also caught the eye.
Also good to see people backing up for the first time in what seems like years!

| thought it would be a clash of heads when Robbie went down and it mlooked like both Littler and Hill made contact with the kicker from that angle can't see how either could have pulled out but contact was made.

| Hill made contact slightly before Littler so if its deemed a late tackle then Littler should have gone but for me it wasn't late, the same linesman also chose not to do anything about a grapple tackle which he couldn't have missed with his eyes shut and also don't know why he wasn't happy with the try in the corner .

| Only explanation would be that the TJ saw McGilverry knock on over the line. I am sure if Dean was asked he would truthfully tell if he did or didn't.

Thats true Fred was even more bemused with the reverse angle ,looked as though he touched down then bounced again in touch

I suspect that showing games like these after the event will attract fans not deter them. Perhaps, as someone suggested, host it free for a limited time.

| Fred - I would be willing to pay to watch an online version, if that became available ( I know demand might not make that worthwhile). There is no point in me getting a dvd sent across as I would always be a week behind and I want to watch it just after the games has happened whilst everyone is still talking about it.
I am personally very grateful for the opportunity to watch these games in full, which I could not otherwise do from here..thank you!

| Fred have you or the club thought about asking whoever sends the match reports to the Journal and Reporter to put the link info on the bottom?
A glowing report and then being able to watch it may just attract one or two, new fans.

| You mean Trevor Hunt and errr yes our Dave
I asked him (Dave) to offer it to the editor of the Bolton News (as they show highlights of soccer on their website) and I would again start to do highlights specially for them, but got no reply or response from them. There is even an option on BLIP.TV and YouTUBE (for highlights) for anyone to place a viewer direct on their own website as I do on my Facebook and Twitter page.Again and I know a few of you disagree but I don't want it to become an excuse for people not going as they can watch it online for 'nowt'. The pay to view option may be the future but it's probably surrounded by all sorts of rules at the RFL, but I must admit I havent approached them - even to ask them if putting it online now is OK, so I may end up in front of a firing squad in Red Hall Car park anytime soon .
Anyway the next step is live streaming, but at the moment bandwidth is the main 'worry' it would be too much in both size and cost to use a USB 'dongle' and I doubt whether the LSV (it's Wigan councils) internet access would allow it. So anyone with any other ideas how to do it we would welcome them. Now that would be a 'first' especially at our level.

| I have tried Vimeo (there is some of my stuff on there) but no matter which streaming site is chosen and there are a few free ones out there its the live streaming that takes bandwidth which means a decent broadband connection is required.
