I am glad you reminded us all of that, perhaps you should think about that when you call people 'tap room idiots' when they don't agree with you.

In my opinion, you are over protective of both players and coaches, I am probably the same about referees, the difference is that I argue the point whereas you tend to have a sense of disbelief that someone disagrees with you.



I don't think changing the coach wound be a good idea but he has got to get a grip with the shocking discipline, perhaps giving players an IQ Test before signing them would help.

As suggested , everybody has an opinion , my reference to the ' idiots ' is to the ones ' who you and I know are commenting on ' hearsay ' , I bump into them regularly , they suggest " Leigh are s**t ' the coach is rubbish , the players are overpaid/past it/never will be , that Beaumont bloke needs to open his wallet , don't know why you bother paying to watch it , if we were all like them , proffessional sport wouldn't exist , neither would live concerts happen or any other kind of ' culture '

Occasionally we get them on here , I have no time for them , or the ' Grudge holders ' , not forgetting the full time wind up merchants , most I prefer to ignore

We are in SL , we might stay in SL , we might not , and opinions of what is needed are probably similar to most people , but it's one thing saying we need XYZ , but if they can't suggest where you might find XY or Z , then it's a pretty poor argument , it's like asking for a flying horse , I'd love one , no idea where to get one , last week working in Middlewich at 2.30 the radio announced that lanes were blocked northbound M6 , that's us getting home late I said to the customer , " there must be another way " she replied , no there isn't , which ever way you go , you are stuffed , that's the way it is

I think you have to put it in perspective guys. It was a miraculous achievement for Leigh to get into Superleague and it was always going to be a really tough ask avoiding 12th place let alone avoiding the bottom four. I know your are on a losing run but that’s to be expected considering all the other clubs have years behind them at this level. You can highlight injuries, discipline and referees but the reality is you had to make numerous changes to your squad and weren’t in a position to sign the quality of players the coaches, supporters and owner would have preferred by choice.

As an outsider I think you have a team that’s committed and been generally competitive and I think Jukes & Co have done a decent job in this regard. To change the coach now could give the club some new optimism in the short term but I can’t see it translating into results considering your next few fixtures. Personally I think your club needs some stability and to focus on hitting your best form for the playoffs. If I was Beaumont I’d stick with what I have and hope that the hard work and togetherness (That only comes with time) pays off at the business end.

Your season reminds me of our first season in SL we started well then couldn't buy a win then scraped in second from bottom by beating Salford and a freak result against Hull I don't know what you expected from this season replacing your coach isn't the answer it's not as if your getting blown away SL isn't very forgiving as I'm realising now we can coast in the championship resting and rotating players every week that's not possible in SL

Certainly not the next few days , Higson missing for a while , his replacement probably unavailable against Hull , Hock didn't look right , then with Cas and Leeds away all in 7 days , I'm usually upbeat and confident , but I can see 3 heavy defeats on the cards ' our resolve will be tested

Castleford - maybe sometimes we just have to be ready to admire the skills on show.

We wanted SL rugby and SL rugby is what we are getting.

I honestly think that Kieran Cunningham will be in charge next season

Starbug - Watson Gleeson & Co have all just signed long term contracts but I think you should look at a British threequarter learning his trade - Danny Orr. He'll get your lads playing exciting RL.

Was he? I seem to remember us playing some great rugby at times last year and bar the 6 point deduction (which he had nothing to do with) we were a top 8 side. Unfortunately, we then self-combusted in the middle 8's and needed a miracle couple of minutes to save our SL status. If we'd have gone down that would have been massively harsh on Watto. For a team as notoriously e as Salford I'd say he did a pretty decent job. I imagine 99.9% of Salford fans would agree with me on that as well.

I'll admit I wasn't convinced when he got the job but I'm happy to admit I was VERY wrong. He impresses me more every time I see him and you can see the players love playing for him.

Amazing how a couple of years ago Rowley was the messiah. Then he becaame public enemy #1 and Jukes was the best thing since sliced bread. Now "Jukesy" is gettting it from the fans. Leythers fickle? Nah.....

And your lot spent most of last season on our board so funny how you all get so defensive when we pay you the odd visit. The simple fact is that the vast majority of Leythers had delusional expectations that, having smashed part-timers week in/week out for the past few years, you were going to waltz into Suer League and do exactly the same. Now you're looking like bottom 4 material (which most opposition fans predicted pre-season) you're calling for the coaches head. You're not a bad team and you've been competitive every time I've seen you live/on Sky this season. You just aren't as good as a lot of your fans think (thought) you are and Jukes is the scapegoat when you need to be more realistic about where you are at as a team/club.

Survival is a good season for any newly promoted team. Avoiding the MPG wpuld be a bonus.
