I hope they do well in Super League, can't see it with Betts in charge, they really should go for Noble now and give him a full pre season to build a squad and coach some disciplines into the current players. If not, they're going to get slaughtered and no one wants to see that, they'e had enough punishment off us in the last few years

I agree with worst ever team to be promoted.I have been very upset with our teams over the last 3 years and a lot of widnes fans want Betts to go.Noble would help and goodluck in playoffs, I am routing for Leigh now.

I for one hope that Widnes do well in the next couple of years otherwise there will be no hope for any English club gaining 'promotion' to the top table, we'll only have the leftovers unless your from an expansion region.

Too true. You would have thought that they would have made a go of it in their first season back. Especially as they have had a head start in recruitment. If I was a chemic I would be decidedly disappointed with the announcements to date. They have signed players with no experience, players at the end of their superleague careers and average NRL players. You would have expected two or three "marquee" signings to give them a chance of avoiding the wooden spoon next season and building on the foundations Steve O'Connor has put in place. It just seems that they have taken the same type of recruitment policy they had for the Championship into the Super League.

They won't have finished signings yet not by a long way, it's just some that they have made... well not my choice and looking around the boards not many TBH.

Worst team to go up from our league. They've been absolute gash this season - but in reality they didn't need to be anything else.
They have arguably the best club infra-structure outside the current SL and probably better or as good as half the clubs currently enjoying SL status.

If they get off to a flyer they may do ok. If they get hammered repeatedly early doors it will be a long season.
Denis is not a good coach but this season he's had sod all to work with. If he doesn't perform next term he'll be gone after 6-8 or so games.
