Just shows how the memory goes - back in those days we was a well supported team on the road (still are now but I suppose its relative) , must admit I cant even remember the Salford final !
I remember the Keighley game at Keighleys ground (probably the first sign Leigh was coming out of the doldrums after some really poor bottom of the league years) and the Hull KR match (we must have really outnumbered them as I can only remember circa 2-300 Hull KR fans in the left hand stand - some fighting amongst themselves !).
With whats going on we may see a record gate for the NRC as if Leeds or Warrington's reserves get their I'm sure they'll pack whatever ground they play it in

The only way of getting Blackpool FC to reduce the costs is to get some compertion into bidding for the event. With Scarbourgh gone the only places on the east coast would be Newcastle, Gateshead or Cleethorpes (AKA Grimsby).

Need to get someone to bid agaist Blackpool so as to get them to reduce their costs. anyone up for a weekend away at the big market & quayside?

It would have to be at Gateshead Athletics ground as it would be like a ghost ground holding it at the whatever they call it now ground.

Sad to say Blackpool FC charged too much to stage the Final.

This has mean't the Finalists made a loss on the Final.

To have the Final back in Blackpool the footie club could always reduce their charge maybe this is a game off bluff and the ball is in their court now.

The ground doesn't have that cup final feel about it ,it should be a ground that we don't normally play at to make it special .This is pants !!!

Questions are

Which venues could they choose from?
Which clubs were asked?
What were the results

If I was to guess bet Fev Leigh Sheffield and Batley didn't choose fax I have no doubt at fev they will inform us at the next fans form how it was done perhaps your club will do the same

Personally it's another great day out spoilt for the fans again

Fev will have been promised they can have it when the new stand is ready

But they will lose a big part of money saved after paying Fax for use of their ground on the lack of fans attending

Presumably halifax council dont want as much as blackpool do?,and tbh linda after recent event this decision isnt even moving the needle on my annoyance scale.
Plus your only assuming ther'll be less fans there,there was only 6k last season.

Thank you jc a lone voice in the wilderness. Last years attendance at Blackpool was less than the year before. It would have been fewer this year. O.k it' not ideal but again I ask what would you all prefer. And before everyone says home advantage, if it's us check out our home performance against Batley, Fev, Leigh, Sheffield.

Should imagine this means this will eventually mean less interest and the subsequent down grading of the competiton (unless Halifax qualify).
Can't see wifes / husbands , sons / daughters all going to Halifax for a weekend out whilst the RL fans go to the match.

Another exceptionally shortsighted decision by the Club Chairmen in the Championship and again something the RFL should have really took control of and pointed out the NRC was begining to cement itself as a RL event (regardless of who played).

If we are lucky enough to get there and play Fax, we probably stand more chance than at LSV against say Sheffield, Featherstone, or Batley!

Even if Halifax don't get to the final, I know there are more clubs likely to get to the final from Yorkshire, but still.....
