not really, it was more or less the starting 13 as I posted on the Leigh v Wigan reserves thread. I did however think that the likes of Prescott, O'Carroll and Mossop would have been included on the subs bench.

I'm with you mate the fixture was locked in for at least 3 years so the Warrington game next week is no excuse for them to bring the entire academy side because they already knew they'd be playing us this weekend.

So much for the new relationship between the two clubs that the Wigan chairman was bleeting on about last season.

I will be there afterall it's the pies we are playing no matter what team they play, plus i want to go and support the Leythers no matter who we play, even booked the night off work for the game.

Well im definatley still going i pay £14 a time to watch Leigh Centurions play couldn't care less who they are playing against.

And £14 to some people might seem steep but they've got to make money somewhere to get in better players. It always strikes me how much of a catch 22 situation Leigh fans put them selves in.

The lads could'nt really show much against Warringtons big boys and so i would prefer Leigh to be in the driving seat this week and hopefully do a bit of showing off of their own

Didn't think the ST covered the friendlies. Anyway me and our Oliver will be there all the way from Bramhall. Can't wait but I'm a little dissapointed they have not put a few first teamers in there.

The shine has been taken off the fixture a bit, but to be honest its going to do our preparations better surely by having a more evenly matched fixture. Another rugby lesson won't do us good.
The bigger worry is of course W1gan fans won't pay to watch what basically is now a reserve friendly game for them.

I was thinking exactly the same but new coach, new ideas, new ideals.
I put a post on the pies site asking were they coming and it got a decent response so all is not lost.

I'll decide on the day if I'm going or not... I'm sure curiosity will get the better of me lol

I have been talking to Allan rowley and I can tell you he is not impressed with this team Wigan have named. He says the price of entry and corporate was done in good faith, as Wigan signed a letter of agreement to field there strongest possible team available. This was part of the 3 year agreement. We will also still be naming our strongest side available.

I thought as much. If thats the case then I hope we absolutely batter them. See ya Sunday

I think it's a bit of a liberty TBH. Why would they book another friendly for the Wednesday when they have known about our fixture all year? You can just see them in their meeting now "Well we're only playing Leigh so we can send them any old rubbish".
If that's their attitude then I would hope that Leigh tell them to sod off next year - arrogant pigs.

Well I agree with Alan Rowley on this one.

Our salary cap is based on projected income. We had 3 Non Relegation teams lined up. Then one is cancelled.The other one I think could have been better supported by the Leigh public and now this slap in the face by our near neighbours.

Well obviously I,ll be there because beating any Wigan side cheers me up.

I do hope however that we do get a Wigan following of reasonable proportions. It would be sensible for any Leyther who can afford it therefore to get to the game if they can.

The Wigan club however...............no comment.
