Thanks fir the reassurance Maurice. Fans forget there are others on the BOM besides Andy and Derek saying that I really hope things can be sorted and this BOM stay together and continue the journey to make LCRLC great again and take it back to where it belongs. Thanks to everyone concerned foe a FANTASTIC season.

My personal thought on all this that every time something like this happens it is reflected with a bad performance so I won't be supprised if we loose today.

During the fans forum, a draw was to take place for those who registered by demonstrating they had bought a programme for every home game. From watching back on Centurions TV this was delayed because a couple of people in the audience declared they didn't know about it or something to that effect.It wasn't recorded as being drawn. How they didn't know this amuses me a little as it was announced in the first programme, was on the website and was in the local newspapers at the start of the season, so not just on social media.However, despite this could anyone who was fortunate to be at the fans forum tell me if it was drawn and who the winner was? There is nothing on the website and I haven't seen it announced elsewhere

It was because a few of us there said we had not entered our slips in for collecting all the stamps as we did not know it was being drawn . So it was postponed till after today s game to give people chance to enter

I know, that's what I said and that's the point I'm making.Now if it is for a touchdown hospitality ticket for 2 for today's game they are leaving it Late! This is despite them changing the prizes as originally promised but this is by the by.

I guess those fans at the fans forum don't check the website on a regular basis or don't have Internet access.Or they had forgotten about this from the beginning of the season and didn't have the foresight to contact the club?If this is the case then fair enough

The old guy at the forum stated that he had been collecting the stars all season and he was under the impression the whole season included the play offs. He politely explained he had deferred his entry for that reason. I thought he made a valid point and he did not strike me as someone who regularly uses the internet.

I am sure the prize can be rolled over to next season.

And rightly so has Derek said you can't presume an email and a tweet tells all your audience.

Personally think Derek made ae really telling comments on Thursday evening.

As the club powers on next season on and off the pitch I'd expect Derek to take more of a closer control of what is or isn't happening off the pitch!

I've posted on here from day one so wont lie to anyone and will put the rumours to bed Keith so not to detract in any way from the important matter of a Grand Final next weekend.

I can confirm I met the Chairman for lunch last week and stood down with immediate effect from the board of management at Leigh Centurions.

It was agreed that it would be announced after the Grand Final but has subsequently become common knowledge and as has been highlighted on here my name was removed from yesterdays match programme so its hardly a secret I suppose now.

I have not lost my passion for the club I have supported all my life and I am proud to call this town and community my town and my home and I have been fortunate to learn a great deal this last 16 months or so which will hopefully stand me in good stead in the future with sports management may that be with Leigh Centurions or elsewhere. I have had enquiries to my availability and indeed requests for help but will not be rushing into anything and will be focussing on my family life and businesses for the time being as well as supporting the club I love and putting funds and resources into the community in many ways.

There is no big drama or nothing to worry about I leave with a heavy heart but for my own personal reasons which I do not wish to elaborate on at this time. I would like to wish Derek and the guys well and urge you to get behind them as the next 12/24 months will be critical as we push for a SL place. I leave on good terms with Derek and the other guys and wish them all the very best and really hope the SL dream can become reality.

I'm sure my time will come again but right now I will focus on being a fan and supporting the club I love for the time being, thanks for all your support and keep on supporting this great club as I know you all will do.

Andy has done a great job and the respect the supporters have for Andy is evidently clear. He has worked enormously hard restoring links within the community and he certainly leaves the club in a far healthier position than the the one he found it in.

I have no doubt he is first in line to purchase a North stand ST. I wish him well.

Without Andy Mazey none of this would have happened. He was the first of the BOM to stick his hand up to help save the club and for that I, along with most other Leythers will always be grateful. Keith is right in saying that a lot of people trust him; I got to know Andy and his dad very well in the early days of the new set up and loved working with them straight away; their honesty and passion was clear to see and I knew that with them on board, our club would be in safe hands.

I'm gutted to see him leave but wish him well in whatever he chooses to do next. Good luck for the future Andy. You're a star.

BTW whoever gave the go ahead to removed his name from the BOM list in yesterday's programme is beyond petty and childish, especially as it appears it had been agreed that they would only announce his departure after the GF - shame on you.

Right from the start of this new BoMs tenure the feeling on the terraces was that this was becoming once again "OUR CLUB" and we were proud to be part of it.
Now, rightly or wrongly Im starting to get the feelng that Derek's starting to think it's "HIS" club and the rest of us are just supporters again.
I full understand and appreciate the time and more importantly, the finance that he has put in. I also know that he is also a Leigh lad through and through and is as passionate about the club as anyone. My only worry is that once one person get's total control of a club then that club becomes subjected to the whim's of the owner. It already appears to have an element of "My way or the highway" in this latest episode.

This is all now speculation as no one has had anything to do with the conversations between Derek and Andy so lets not start a hate campaign. What I agree with though is Mish's statement about Andy's name not bring in the programn. Hold your heads in shame board. That's pretty ordinary and cheap.

Spot on Mish. He was the guy who got all this started, and who appears to have done most to gain our club respect and credibility, especially in the town of Leigh. I fervently hope that this newly gained respect is not to be tarnished now, and that someone has the time and considerable skill to maintain the momentum in the community.

Thanks for everything Andy - you will be missed.

top fella who always has time for the fans both at first team and reserve team games more than any other BOD member in my opinion he,s up there with the very best that's been involved with Leigh RLFC past or present

I did not know andy in a personal capacity. However what i have seen in the past 18 months, lends me to the opinion he is a class act, top bloke. Derek and the rest i sincerely hope you carry on running the club in the positive way it has been recently. Andy mazey top bloke.

Given the speed with which they removed his name from the programme, I'm very surprised that no official announcement thanking Andy for his time, money and effort has been forthcoming from the club.
