Im not a Briscoe fan ,so his inclusion at 7 was a suprise , but it didnt work for me ,Briscoe never breaks the line , doesnt tackle like Tommy Goulden or JT ,remember it was 12-12 at half time could have been 12-18 , when young Ryan came on the game lifted his Exubarence ,and Flamboyance is infectious , Riddy started running with purpose ,and visibly loves playing with Brierley , and Macnally started taking the defence on , all in all a fabulous second half , i thought Pownall returned the ball well having the confidence to take them full on,more please Leythers , i hope the Bullfrogs are next .

Briscoe has been one of our most consistent players all season, I think there's good reason why he gets picked every week!

Matt we all have our opinions ,ive watched the game again on Premier Sports ,taking notice of Briscoe , im not bagging him , but he doesnt break the line , is no Tommy Goulden at tackling , i agree about being consistant though , consistantly average .

Briscoe like a lot of our other players is having a great season and I think our team has shown consistent improvement since the season started. PR and the coaching team are responsible and deserve big raps.

I agree about our improvement over the season , and nobody likes LOSING ,i also know about the team spirit which was evident at full time yesterday , i also agree about the Leigh public turning out in numbers ,i hope they do also ,keep drinking the Draught Complan, and scratching your Nether regions .

I'd like to point out that Craig Briscoe is only 19. He's still growing and he's certainly still developing as a player - look at his progress since last season. Breaking the line is an essential skill, (Michael Worrincy could do that) as are other facets of the game.

Given his progress in less than 12 months, I wonder how good he'll be in a couple of years?

Briscoe has all the talent to go all the way he has just turned 19 and a half it's no wonder he doesn't break the line like a 30 year old, I wish we had one or two more like him on our books, keep it up Craig.

Mr Parky we have? Have you thought about young Hoppy, his work rate get's better and better every game I've seen. I would love to know his tackle rate per game? and don't forget we have some promising young player's in the team at the moment.

should have made myself clearer, I meant in the under 21 age group, and whilst the u18's just lost last night at York (24 - 22 or similar, couldn't get there something came up sorry guys) there are a few in that team that could make it.

I'm a big fan of Hoppy's he gets better every game.

Sorry Charlie, but thats just rubbish!! Even with a paper thin squad like ours, PR will be picking his teams on merit, or the ability to perform certain roles in particular games. For me young Craig hasn't put a foot wrong this season, and is in the 17 every week on merit!!

Do you also think he was offered a new 3 year deal just to make up the numbers?? Briscoe and Hoppy are gonna be the bedrock of our pack in the years to come.....for me they are the Hilly and Jimmy T of the future!!

Briscoe has come on leaps and bounds this year, I hope we don't over play him but only Paul and him would know that.
I was critical at the seasons start as I believed his size would be an issue against the better sides, it may still be but I now believe we have a great player in the making, with Hoppie and Singleton and Nicholson and Rowe and Pownall.............

Walt i realise not everyone will agree with me , i never expect it , its a contentious view , i support our Team home and away , never miss a game , whoever wears the Leigh shirt i support , but its just MY opinion , just because a Player plays for Leigh doesnt make him a good player , i have criticised players in the past , again just my opinion , if im wrong im big enough to admit it , but in this case its how i feel ,i respect your opinion .

And I yours.......and most of the time I agree whole-heartedly with you - but I think you do a dis-service to the contribution shown by Briscoe, and the decision making of PR by saying the lad is only in cos he doesn't get injured!!

It might be the case that were Jimmy T fully fit, Craig would be dropped - but I think Jimmy needs to play himself back into contention, because I feel Craig is in there on merit.

But, if we didn't all have differing opinions then this messageboard might as well pack-up!!

Totally agree Walt , i keep telling people ,"Im a CLOWN ",but i just give my opinion ,im a PR fan , i dont always agree with his ideas though ,everyone who knows me knows i have my fave players , they may not agree , but thats life , we ALL want the same though a SUCCESSFUL LEIGH team .

And it's what we are getting at the moment!! If you'd have told me, in the dark days of last Sep/Oct, that by now we'd be joint top, two games from Blackpool, made the 1/4 finals of the CC, and be playing (in MY opinion) a better brand of rugby than we were last year, I'd have assumed you'd been over-doing the Acorn Juice!!

Lets just hope that we can keep the momentum building....and not peak too soon. I rather fancy the idea of two finals this year!!

,for me everytime i see the Riddy - Brierley partnership i get excited , they are pleasure to watch , i also think Pownall always returns the kicks with interest , and im a big Hoppy fan , ive said recently , our next 3 games , are so important .
