Well you are always welcome to join our lot at the match' before and after the match we all have our own opinions about team selection'who played best and who didn't. We rarely agree but we all SUPPORT our team home and away.

Sunday match days we usually meet up around 1pm at the Goose . Come along I am sure you will enjoy the company. BTW not everyone is old or middle aged.

I don't post that often but always came on to have read 3/4/5 times a day but find myself drifting away now, for 2 reasons, firstly as has been stated if your view didn't fit or you criticised the club or anything Leigh RL related one person in particular would always be there to say 'if you think you can do it better give it a go'.

the more recent reason is every other thread gets turned into a private joke or a Frank love in (no offence to Frank intended, you seem like a decent bloke).

You go on about there not being a clique but there is, and it does not help!

I raised this a few weeks back, this is an independent board.

I have been an 'outsider looking in' since I moved to Welshpool. I've only been able to get to two games since I moved, so I feel I have no right to comment on games I haven't seen, player selection, or the ref's performance, which is why you rarely get a post from me any more. But it DOESN'T mean I no longer care about the club I've supported for just short of fifty years .... As for 'cliques', well I'm a member of a forum devoted to the breed of dog I have, and if you think there's a clique on here, just try visiting that one!

I actually like to hear the views of our 'far away' posters especially those who have listened via Centurion Radio or viewed Freds DVD. To me a fan miles away who takes time out to follow Leigh is every much a supporter as me who lives 2 miles away.

Absolutely spot on (not that I have any personal bias in that as someone who supports a football team 209 miles away from my front door in Leyth

), the views from afar can quite often offer a different perspective from those 'in the thick of it'.

I wouldn't say any constructive criticism has ever been shouted down on here either, some of the pricing debates on here this season have been absolutely first rate in offering cases from both sides, and it seems clear to me that the club have acted on that when they've seen fit. This forum has certainly broadened my personal 'base' in terms of getting to know fellow Leythers over the years and I'd hate for it to get anything other than an entirely positive reputation.

So let me get this right. In order for this forum not to feel too cliquey we must not hate SL and the RFL too much. Even though most of us just love RL full stop. Never mention the Acorn stuff. I say make it a class A and a long jail term for users and dealers. We need to be able to just use a emoticom to answer every thread posted on here ( against the rules) so people feel wanted. Oh and we have to hate Frank. I now feel like I am either at the United Nations or at an AA meeting. Jesus H Christ get a grip people.

I think the problem has been the pre season, then peaking at the Leeds game. We all pulled together for the club and had a big topic to all discuss, then we survived, started to sign players, win games, cup run, Leeds game.

At this point I reckon the forum was probably at it's busiest for years. Then after a great day at Leeds. Nothing.

A few easy games and a load of terrible weather and it's fallen a bit flat that's all.

Big game today, bigger one on friday (i'm working) and it will all pick up. Especially if we do Batley today and thoughts of Blackpool start to come to mind again.

I'll put a lighter under the forum now....

I didn't say you should hate Frank but every thread does not need to be turned into a 'Franks round' or 'that's a job for Frank' type comment. Mainly by the OP, if it was a fan of another club they would be warned/banned for trolling!

There's no shooting anyone down. My sarcastic post is me saying how ridiculous this all is. If you read one of my previous posts you will see how I stood up for a poster who WAS " shot down " and if you go back to when I first started posting you will see loads of comments I have put on where I have had my posts disagreed with or not replied to. I'm still here. Grow up.

In a way i can see the point of most Posters on here , but we are living in a Democratic Society , fortunatly so everything is about individual opinions ,i dont reply to any post that doesnt interest me , ive already said i wont discuss a Game with a poster who has not seen the Match, no point really ,i mean Scooter Nik started a post on the Forum about the Ref George Stokes , biased

but only listened to the Commentary

how did he know the Comentator wasnt the biased one ?After all i presume it was a Leigh comentator

Anyway we all have our individual opinions about this Forum , i personally think its very good, again i never reply to some posters comments , be like me if ya dont like what they say IGNORE THEM , its much easier.

i got shot down on here for using a emotion by a MOD and called childish for doing it.
i explained why i used the emotion and he locked the thread.
i pm'd him got no reply
opened another thread that got locked with no reply or even an apoligy

and he called me childish!

thats why i dont post here any more, too many its my way or no way(i am mightier than thow)

The Watcher enjoys reading most of the posts on this site, it is true that there has always been around 20/30 posters but not always the same ones, times change people move on. The Watcher doesnt mind Frank & his pals having a laugh about who is the tightest or which one of them is to get the next round in, its all a bit of fun isnt it ? Some of members on the Leythers site do take themselves to seriously, however we all know who they are & make allowances dont we ? The Watcher hopes that nobody would drop out but they do & then somebody new signs up & Im sure we all would prefer it if the new contributers were more entertaing than the old & sometimes they are. Keep up the good work everyone.
