Club tweeted 400 tickets left for that stand, so maybe we can do the 5,900+ & get the extra funding !

I 'think' that the aim is for a 6,000+ Season average.

Not really sure on the capacity of the stands,something I've always been interested in but never found any info on.

I presuming if we go off 12000 stadia capacity. 4000 North, 3000 West, 2500 South,2500 East plus the overspill.

Just hazarding a guess really.

Well, down to 2 subs after 30 minutes when two of our best players are crocked and we manage to nil a top 4 side and condemn Widnes to the wooden spoon. I wonder what Peter Kay and his alter ego will complain about?

Time will tell but rest assured that the multiple personality will invent something.

Bongser has been house bound for two days and was reduced to Radio Manchester for the evening. Bad one to miss out on by all accounts. Hope everyone had a great time.

Scrappy game Bongser due to the conditions, but the lads put a shift in defence. Salford never looked like scoring. Dan Mortimer controlled the game in attack and Langi put in some powerful runs out wide. Crunching defensive effort by the likes of Pellisier, Maria and Burr. Gregg looked good joining the line from fullback an Brown looked solid on the wing, even smashing Big Ben Massillon one on one! All in all the lads looked like they want to stay in SL.

Well it wasn't a classic was it in terms of handling- but for effort and commitment that was top drawer

Got a tad scrappy mid 2nd half , 1st half was belting

And if we play poor int 1st game of the M8s you'll be over em like a rash.

That's right Atomic, scrappy. Then read my post in full. We played the conditions in the first half and Barton Red Devil's didn't, hence our lead. The second half both teams struggled with the slippery ball but we were better. Unless you saw slick handling from both teams and champagne rugby? I would call that scrappy with the conditions, with the bast team deserved winners.

For me, that was a most re-assuring performance - very much like the way we dominated in the early season victories. Our defence was awesome, and created the platform for our tries- including two classics from McNally.

Just one possible black cloud, with Hock and Crooks both limping out of the game in the first half.

Arguably McNally's best bit of work was his part in Brown's disallowed try: a superb pass under pressure and, sitting almost level with it, marginally forward at best and nothing like as forward as many we've seen this season which have not been given.

Great grit and effort, line speed was fantastic, push forward as a team and langi was superb when deciding to jump out the line.
Felt like Mortimer had really settled in last night and both him and drinkwater gave us a real edge going forward!
My only worry would be replicating this form away from home in the 8s, and hock not coming back on and crooks limp!!
Few selection headaches with who would you bring back in and take out now?

There were always going to be errors in the saturating conditions, especially given the ferocity of the tackling. I'll happily settle for another seven 'scrappy' performances like that one though!

Cracking result with a very good performance to give us a big confidence boost going into the 8's.
