Massive blow when added to all our other absentees. At least Rowley will have it easy picking the squad

Trying to plan a 'team' from the squad will be what is difficult and making a good gameplan for the players we have available. I imagine we will have a very lightweight bench so a good start will be crucial so IMO we should start with Brierly at 7. Beswick to play at 13 with Duffs and Nico rotating at Hooker.

Gonna be tough but the lads have done us proud so far and being just 80mins from the GF will be huge motivation.

Well apparently Parker was training last week and was rated at 60/40 to play against Fev. Whether he has got through training unscathed I don't know and whether he will play against Sheffield I don't know. To be honest though, I would not be surprised at all if he did play - this is Rob Parker we're talking about and he isn't actually human!

If he doesn't make it, however, then one option we do have is putting Maden in at centre, move Littler to SR and put Deano on the wing. I know it isn't ideal to mess around with your team like that in the play offs but needs must I guess.

Or Start Littler with Maden & later on bring McGilvray on & shift stu to SR then Maden doesn't have a one on one with Yere for the full 80

The team need the extra man on the terraces we need to get behind these lads come what may tomorrow, if you know any tight barstewards who are watching in a boozer drag em down.

Rob was on Radio Manchester last Thursday. He said it would take eight weeks before he will be fit again.

Match fit I think he means but TBH I would of thought Rob would of been keeping as fit as he can be given the circumstances doing a bit of running that isn't impact on the hand

It is absolute crap what Rowleys says about 17 players, we have a full reserve grade team, so obviously some of these guys can step up if we do get injuries....... I think he's saying about the 17/16 to take pressure of himself....... we should beat Sheffeild!!! That team Leigh have is the best on paper throughout the lower leagues with all the super league expreience we have............

Stop making excuses Rowley!!! You signed the team, you should of made it versatile enough to cope with injury problems like we have now

How many of the reserve grade games have you watched or read about this season? None, just like the rest of us as we couldn't afford to run a reserve side this season. Also, on a shoestring budget PR could not afford a large squad. That's why he's had to rely on DR players when injuries have occurred earlier in the season. Now, we only have two of those DR players, who are in his 17 man squad.

Sheffield have injuries too, so it's not all doom & gloom. Neither side can afford to rest payers for the final - they have to get there, first & foremost.

Who's the second DR Alan? I thought we only had Spencer now.

Kes is contracted to Cas till the end of the season but obviously he is currently on loan here.

Well I was at Fax last week and they didn't seem to pick up any injuries in that match. I think they will be at full strength.

I never think of Ryan as a DR.

Not to mention most of the team was signed by Keith Freer before Rowley was apointed. I'm amazed we still have Rowley knockers out there, I personaly think he's done well this season and I also think Keith did well with his signings given what we were looking at this time last season.

I too feel that PR and the Board made some fantastic quality signings. Sadly, we could only afford so many and had to go with a small, quality squad. Injuries happen - you'd just rather not have them at this stage of the season. Still, if they'd happened earlier, we possibly wouldn't have been just 80 minutes away from a GF.
