That's a shame about Josh Woods, but he must be close to first team squad status

Based on Montys comments we are a long way short of a squad TBH, hopefully everything will piece together very quickly- preseason needs to get going ASAP or we are gong to be well struggling from the off

I think I may have been a little hasty declaring the Josh Woods deal had fallen through. We may just have secured him after all on a 1 year loan deal.

That would have to be viewed as an outstanding bit of business at this stage.

Once the dust has settled, I believe we wont have a bad little side.

We need another six or so though to solidify the squad.

If there was a bonus thrown in for making the final then maybe that's how well get their signatures

If we had gone back to win lose money and bonuses for winning last season who knows what would have happened

We wasted a lot of money and I'm sure we've learned from it if it was my money that went down the pan I'd be gutted and wouldn't be making the same mistakes again

Anyways, how does it work with a loanee? They would be on a contract at their parent club for 'x' amount, is the host club meant to pay all the players wages most probably not less than he will earn by staying put, or does the parent club subsidise the players salery up to his contracted income, lets term it has for his 'keep and lodgings' whilst he is plying his trade elsewhere?

Not sure I guess each is different, in this case its a matter of what percentage we are willing to pay, i'm sure it will be sorted

It’s usually subsidised I think, as you say the club loaning the player would agree to pay x amount towards his wages and then his parent club would top this up to his normal rate of pay.
