Team being promoted this year V the team being relegated if things go on as they are. Going to be a tough game, especially away, against a SL team but other than the non SL teams the easiest draw. Shouldn't be as difficult as Salford.

For me, this is ours to lose. The salford team we beat including the injuries etc are better than the wakefield team we will play. We are full of confidence they aren't.

Well I am a club supporter so I will be at Leigh Easts on Thursday to watch our reserves..

I don't think anyone should be getting carried away. If we play to our best we can beat them but it won't be easy even if they are at the bottom of SL.

We will need all players back from inujury for this one,but seeing we are a month away from it..Lot of water to pass under the bridge until then.

Wakefield away right now is a lot tougher prospect than taking on a depleted injury and suspension ravaged Salford side.

Rowls won't take this one for granted and I was pleased with his comments Saturday after the game when he appeared very level headed and didn't seem to be getting carried away.

Great win and another great tie in prospect, this game is more likely to tell us about what we can expect in the middle eights if they are at full strength that is.

The RFL's capacity for shooting itself in the foot is limitless - apparently the number 10 fell off the ball FFS!!!!!!!!

Don't need sabotage Pat. In the draw for the previous round, Phil Lowe had problems with the 6 and 9 balls, perhaps understandably, but couldn't differentiate between 12 and 15 - less understandably!

It's deffo one that could come back to haunt him that one and after Saturday we need to be respected and I'm sure the people that matter at Wakefield will do so.

Putting injuries and suspensions etc to one side which clearly did hinder Salford massivley as you can't take so many key players out of a side before and during a game our boys can only beat what is infront of them and the pleasing thing for me was we were the team who looked fitter towards the end and certainly the hungrier and wanted it more than they did.

I said as I walked off Saturday it will take a bloody good side to beat Leigh now so the question is are Wakey a bloody good side or not I supose

Yes, 1972 iirc, last tie drawn, Leeds v no one, as the ball was on the floor, the full draw had to be done again, and in the "new" draw, it came out "Town" at home!

Its a simple one this - Wakefield are a SL team with SL funding playing at home against a Championship team on significantly less funding playing away. The bookies will give us a start and Wakey will start as favourites.
Hope we play on the Sunday to maximise our following which will have a huge part to play if we are to overcome the odds

By the way, it's pre match banter, if you care to read my earlier posts I've praised Leigh as a very good team with a great coach who has a big future and Leigh as a well run club.
