Your saying Brown was quietly and quickly let go, he played 2 games. Didn't perform as requested someone got his shirt, said player never let go. 3 months into season Brown was given opportunity to go out on loan.

Dan Carty came in did the probationary period and I guess a mutual agreement was that both parties should go their own way.

As I said originally your comparison is ludicrous and if I read it a different way it could be mis-read as another disgruntled fan/employee who appears to have axes to grind. Shame really as your actually a fan of one of the top 8 best run clubs in this country!

What a crock of e that reply is. I compared the TIME that both employees were given to settle in ie Not very much and Carty even less than Brown. and that was all I said.

It isn't any of our business Lynda. It's just some people seem to think they are higher than the BOD and have a divine right to know how long each member of staff spends on the bog.

It's just people giving their observations and opinions, we have ALL done that before. I don't recall anyone checking for toilet breaks though.

And again your love for Brown is a little strange he only had a year to prove the coaching staff were right to initially sign him. He ultimately failed as we have 2 better wingers!

32 man squad this year do you think all 32 wil remain happy and still with us in 2016? There's a few or at least a few names on here who seem fascinated with Alex Brown. I'd rather concentrate on Liam Kay, Tom Armstrong, Jake Emmett, Oli Wilkes, Jamie Acton, Sam Barlow to name but a few who also signed last year and think justified Paul's eye for talent.

As for Dan Carty personally unless it was a good friend of mine a close family relative or me I couldn't give a monkeys who the commercial director was I'd just want them to bring more revenue into the club to help take us back were we have always belonged!

Out of interest can you give me one good reason why you are so intrigued why Dan left ?

As for Dan Carty, I don't know him and had never heard of him until it was announced that we had acquired the services of a top class commercial director that was going to do great things for the club. A month is not enough to settle into stacking shelves at Tesco never mind feeling your way into a new Directors job. Who knows (somebody does) but he may even have quit and left us in the lurch. But I digress, my OP was that he had less time to settle than Brown (if he did indeed want to settle) The only point Im is that someone "may" have been seen to be a bit premature in selecting/sanctioning or just advising on the merits of both these appointees.

We as a club are quick to announce things, but why is there no statement now coming from the club as to what has happened.

As for your last sentence are you saying it would be a good idea for the club to give out an official press release stating the reasons why Alex Brown and Dan Carty no longer work for Leigh Centurions?

If you do that's just your opinion but if you could send me the link for any press release from any UK RL club stating the commercial director has left and reasons why that would make good reading.

Similarly if you find the same press releases for the parting of the ways for any winger leaving a club I'd be interested in that link to.

Not really, I was just stating an observation that both of them were not given time to show what we were told by the club they were capable of doing. There must be a reason that both went from hero to zero in a matter of weeks. It "could" be suggested that the homework wasn't done before the appointment of both and if so then we may need to brush up on our scouting or interviewing skills...................or clear things by stating why things didn't work out in such a short time?

This is my opinion but your talking nonsense when saying Brown wasn't given a chance. What should Paul do drop in form wingers? Irrelevant of size of contract, age who signed them etc Paul treated everyone equally last season and I believe that is one of the reasons he got the maximum from the squad.

As for the scouting are you for real? Kay, Acton,Armstrong Barlow? Need I go on?

And interviewing techniques, I had the pleasure to work for the worlds biggest retailer for 6 years in that time the UK arm of the retail giant hired 5 different ecommerce directors, under went 3 re-structures and 3 financial directors. Not one press release nor announcement to his/her colleagues when they left. Just food for thought !

Your tying yourself in knots, yes the players you mention are brilliant (as are many many more in our squad) but seeing as it was you who asked the question about BROWN then I'll stick with him. He was brought in with all the bells and whistles and the promise of great things, infact he was seen to be such a star he was our official poster boy and funnily enough STILL appears to be so "take a look on our official home page".

As for pleasure in your work and what that entailed, I'll bet the same thing applied for when they arrived as when they left. ie No big fanfare like we had for DC. just food for thought.

As for Dan there was no fan fare he's been in position since early October and I think the first release with his name on was a few short weeks ago?

And still do question it ie "IF" Brown was deemed to be so good why not keep hold of him? .....we have excellent back up in the forwards?

Has anyone give a thought about Dan amongst all this bickering and conjecture? The lad may have had too much on with his personal life and decided himself it was a tough task. A storm in a tea cup as far as I am concerned.
