Whilst I know who some of the posters are on here and have met many of them during my time on the board many remain faceless and could realistically be anyone.

It's far easier in my opinion to communicate in a forum were people are using there real names and identity and that was the point I made on facebook and that's why other directors as well as myself use it.

Ofcourse it's rumoured myself and other Directors have more than one username on here but who really gives a at the end of the day?

I believe it's also common knowledge that past and present Directors and staff have frequented this and other boards under various identities so we/ I am not alone if indeed we/ I am doing so.

This forum is in my opinion a far less harmful place than it once was and seems limited to real fans posting these days most of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting and there are far less snipers listening to doom and gloom merchants like yourself and multiplying your negativity so in my opinion it's far less detrimental to the clubs progress than it was in years gone by. With that in mind many would say mission accomplished



I have in recent months limited my activity on here and used Facebook and Twitter as a means of communicating with fans and the majority who comment regularly on here I see in person on match days or round the town.

Why do I always get the feeling you are one of these people sat waiting for things to go wrong so you can say I told you so?

I'll have my twopenn'orth now. This is dedicated "Fans Forum" that only really covers only our sport and has rules about what you are allowed to post. Facebook is a social media site as is Twitter where you can comment what you like - within reason - on any page that you want to. It is without a doubt easier to float between any subject and group that you want to without leaving the Facebook site. Not sure the identity thing is a plus for Facebook as has been said already by Andy but it is a more attractive site to visit for the - I would say - "younger fan". At the moment because players post on social media sites it is rapidly becoming the place to post your good will for our fantastic club. I think Facebook is more attractive to me to see what is being said at the moment. Just saying.

............... and woe betide anyone who doesn't. It is currently a contest as to who can pour the most praise on a couple of the BOM.

However they all deserve praise for such a fab season and their commitment !

Andy, it seems whatever I post on here is construed as negative by some, I'd suggest tgat is more their issue than mine

On this particular thread I challenge anybody to find negativity, all I have done is answer questions with regards your generous offer, something I only became aware of reading harolds post this morning, also providing a humourous view of the rugby league part of the banter page for cherry and white

I dont visit facebook or twitter in any form so maybe it is a better place for those of a more sensitive nature to discuss Leigh Centurions

It is negative to those who don't qualify, for various reasons, to get on the freebie. Not exactly inclusive is it, it is a reward for being in an appreciation society on Facebook?

Without wishing to sound disrespectful but if Andy Mazey the individual decides he wants to run a coach for folk he has enjoyed some banter with over the season then that's up to him as its his hard earned

If Reffy decided he wanted to run a free coach for his mates from the darts and dominoes league it would be no different

The sooner RL fans in general realise that it costs money to follow a club/sport the quicker we will get rid of the pound shop mentality that has overcome our game in the past 10 years - WE ARE NOT A CHARITY
