A share of a 12k gate would be brill. I can see us bringing 1500 at least. The hatred I had for Wigan went along time ago, and both clubs get on well. Like Leeds last year, would like a couple of quality tries to cheer !! 50-70k in our coffers will do nicely, and would not surprise me if Leneghan gave us more !

I think we'll be looking at 6,000-8,000 Wiganers being on so a crowd of 10,000+ will be dependant on how many you guys bring with you.

I'd have preferred it at your place tbh, the atmosphere would have been jumping with a full house in.

No chance, the casual pie fan will swerve this one, i'd go with 8000, with 2000 travelling support!

I think more Wigan fans will attend than has become the norm for the Challenge Cup early rounds and I do not think Shaun Wane will field a team of youngsters. It will probably be the first team with a couple of young players in the 17.

How will the DC rule work for this game

As a player can only play for one of us in the cup I would be surprised if you were given any DR players. Spencer for example played for us last week so would be needed for the cup in case of injuries so can't see us letting him be cup tied. I would imagine all SL clubs will only allow players that are currently nowhere near first team reckoning to be used on DR in the cup.

Having said that, you've been doing alright fielding a team of youngsters these past few weeks! I suppose you could be looking at easing back some of your regulars from injury, and a game like this would probably be ideal for doing that?

Wigan want Riddy and Brierley on loan and in return we can have Sam Tomkins and Pat Richards on DC, but Rowls told them they'd struggle to get into our starting 13.

The Wiganers i spoke to today at the Gym all think its a great draw for both clubs and are very much looking forward to the game , plenty of good banter to .

The thing that is holding them up is the BBC deciding which games to televise. Then wigan will chose and Leigh either agree or go to the RFL to decide.

If you put a good performance up against Wigan would this relight the flame and get you to watch Leigh more often again in the league ?

According to the rugbyleagueontv website Sky have rights to a round 4 game too. If that is correct then we will have to wait until they have picked their game as well.

Edit - Sky have now decided not to bother until the QFs so we should get a decision soon hopefully

Dont want to be negative,but cant see more than 7000 specs in total.This should see us make around £40k-£50k after VAT taken etc.so still not bad. Pies will not pay to watch a game they think they will win by 50pts plus. ased on normal league match prices

I think reduced prices is the way to go. As was said earlier, Wiganners won't turn out for this unless the prices are low.

Wigan are effectively in the boat Leigh were in last weekend!

The price should be reduced from the usual league pricing due to playing a lower league team. Prices too high, no-one will bother! Leigh should take note! (if the prices are reduced)

I think the attendance will be OK, it is after all a proper local derby. Leigh fans will attend because it is a joust with the big boys and Wigan fans will be looking for their team to smash the upstarts from down the road.
