I agree still think Mark Smith can be effective at this level also but the rest are nowt special.

I agree. From their squad only Mills and Armstrong stand out at this level.

Smith has been there, done it before but his better days are now truly behind him.

Higson still has something to prove. For all the early promise he is yet to deliver. Hope he can have an injury free season.

Morty despite spending a few seasons here was never a regular under Shaw, Kelly or Basil. There was a reason for that.

Morrison never impressed me at all, 'Finding the floor' was his strength.

Yes - They currently have a better squad than us but I don't think they will be troubling the top 4 (All IMHO of course)

However I do look forward to catching a couple of their games next season when our fixtures do not clash.

Assuming we are going to put a decent squad together then i think the top 5 and bottom 5 are already sorted,the only puzzle is in which order we all finish in the two groups of 5.

Gallagher is telling people on Twitter that he has signed for Leigh. Not sure what position he'll play. If Beswick signs i'd play him at 13, Duffy and Nico rotating at hooker and play Gallagher at prop.

What? Did you actually see any games last year? Thornley got through a lot of the unglamorous stuff close to our line which his teammates value even if some fans don't see it!

good player is Andy, hope he has signed for us.

Every team needs a player like Andy. he took some big hits last season and just got up and carried on.

I really rate Thornley.

Bracek, Thornley, Hopkins and a DR/New signing (massive Tongan!) as props. Jimmy Taylor playing the Paul Gallen 13 role as an extra prop.

Happy with that.

What about Tommy Goulden.

Was told the other day by one of his mates that Andy Thornley had signed for Preston Grasshoppers, not sure if this is true but it was quite a reliable source that told me.

Might just be a case of keeping fit until the season starts, though he'd certainly be a big loss if it became a permanent switch to RU.
