| Clubs in football where full time before the Sky deal. They would be full time even if they didn't have a Sky deal - after a lot of going into administration first mind.
In RL every club bar one club struggling to balance the books (W1gan) was part time until the Sky deal allowed 14 clubs to go FT. RL without Sky deal would be mainly PT again.
Some football clubs (but is it media making things up again?) want to ring fence themselves in PL for purely selfish reasons that they invest 10's Millions each season and want to keep hold of that investment (if you want to call it that).
RL (even the ones that won't even open their eyes to the positives) can see that there is more to franchise in SL than just money.

| That's why the 'expansion' is taking place in the Championship Leagues then
Great idea TBH as long as they compensate the Championship 1 clubs for all the long distance coach travel they will have to do.

The football championship? No it isnt. Dont let the silly wages touted round clubs like city and utd cloud your judgment. QPR et al arent paying much more in the PL than they were in the Championship and it absolutely isnt 6 times

Wouldn't be so sure of that considering the wage cuts that Blackpool players had to take after relegation.

Only because Blackpool were in a sound financial position prior to promotion and refused to offer the increase in wages that the players originally wanted.

| If you say so i'll take your word for it. So do you think QPR, Swansea, Sunderland and others are paying 6 times what they were in the Championship? I dont think they are tbh. Besides its different sports, the comparison was silly in the first place, its not just players wages its the fact that Chp RL clubs dont have most of the facilities, technology, academies in place to make the jump up and fight it out the following year.

| £55 for a ticket at QPR - well to City fans anyway. Absolutely disgraceful IMO. Its QPR for goodness sake, not Chelski. I'd like to know how much their home fans pay in comparison. Wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't much difference tho.

QPR are paying 70k a week to Barton and SWP for starters, Sunderland pay Brown O Shea not a penny less than 50k. Bolton Wanderers spend £40m a year on wages!!
PL wages vs Championship is no comparison,

Leigh are a decent Chp club so we'll leave them out of this one but lets take Featherstone, everyones favourite. The ground doesnt hold 7000, they could not be in SL and possibly run a profitable team. Yes technology, sports science, doctors, the Wire have a professional sports psychiatric personell with dedicated coaches and professionals in different areas, the championship clubs do not. Have you seen the facilities at most SL clubs? Where do someone like Featherstone train? Let me guess 2 sessions a week and then 3 weights sessions in a DW gym Most Championship clubs do not even provide appropriate sports nutrition to players they have to pay for it themselves. Where is Featherstones U20s, u18s and so on and so forth? They scratch together some teams but if they were the standard required they would play in the Valvoline cup as Widnes did.
The fact is you're an old man who knows very little about the game in the modern era so don't try and do your smokey deflect with me son. Jog on.
