They can pay what they want £60 is the normal , but fans can pay whatever they can afford, fill in the form where it asks the amont per month put whatever you can afford in there.

| I would be interested to know what the average contribution per month is. Reason being, if we double LISA memmbership and the new members are contributing a quid a month it is not going to get us as near the target as we might have thought (although of course all donations are welcome).
If we presented it as a pound a week it might appeal more than a fiver a month!

| Leythers who can afford will pay the £5 a month those that want can pay less.
All Leythers should know by now that every penny LISA raises goes to the club. Now forget the I would contribute' if the meetings weren't boring point of view just remember whatever you give goes to the club we support.

| I do not want to open any old wounds but every penny into LISA finds its way to the club, every penny into the lottery doesnt. eg commissions etc on top of prizes. Sif you have a spare tenner a month LISA is the better option.

| I think there is a two stream approach required here:
1) Milk (you know what I mean) the existing fanbase for all its worth - the hardcore support that when the chips are down will go that bit further and give more than they have already given. Hopefully most of the people on this board fall into that category. Some of us used to be more active and contribute more but for various reasons have reduced that support. If we can milk that base effectively it secures our future and gives us a base to start from. Be it lottery or LISA, be it personal or your company it doesn't really matter.
2) Expand the fanbase - it is only doing that that will allow us to tick the turnover box and attendances boxes. And we have to do that because the only way some people will come back is if there is a chance of playing top flight rugby. That is going to be much harder and much more of a longer term project.
There is no point arguing about which approach is needed - they clearly both are.

| You have taken the helicopter view and are correct.
Our strength is the passion, we need to nurture that and get us out of our current situation, we then need to change how we operate.

| The Lottery is still the biggest income the club have and a lot of its members are not fans of the club so turning people from it defy's the point.

| IF a fan wanted to help then £10 to LISA is a better way - FACT.
Both benefit the club - FACT.

| Lets say (for arguments sake) the lottery gives Leigh 8 out of every 10 pounds raised. That is better that the zero that you would get without the lottery. Yes, you would get 10/10 at LISA but to Fred's point the potential for lottery is that much greater as most people don't want to give with nothing in return (I know they will get something ultimately from LISA in terms of results and having a club but you know what I mean).
So encourage the hardcore to give to LISA AND the Lottery - the rest can sign up to the lottery!
As of two days ago, I am now making my cup of tea at work, twice a day instead of buying it from the shop - I save $3.60 a day (just over 2 quid). A good chunk of that saving is going to go to either LISA or lottery or maybe both. Its little things like this that most of could do (especially big smokers/drinkers) that can add up....

| I don't think there's any point pitting the lottery and LISA against each other. Both do great jobs for the club and people contribute in whichever way they see fit.

I will suggest that next Thursday Fred. I shall not argue with the majority view in view of the fact most of us are LISA members anyways.

| 2 Points.
Rather than not having that pint and giving the money to the club instead, why not buy a drink from a tent outside the ground that is stocked up with cheap cans from ASDA, then you still get the drink (even if cooking lager), and LISA or whoever gets the extra? Say charge 2.50 a can, cost 50p, 2 quid profit.
How many fans are ex-pats etc that would like to watch the games online, and would pay money to do so? Is this feasable? Tech wise it is, but would there be enough take up?

| No the land is owned by LSV/Council and they wouldnt allow it- the club asked to do this last yyear and were refused permission.
tech wise its emminently feasable BUT the bandwidth on broadband alone to stream a game live is out of my pocket range, and the LSV broadband is a council one (.gov.uk), there have been over 50.000 hits on my BLIP.TV site since I started it but how many would there have been if people would have had to pay? Im quite willing to hand over the money ive 'made' on blip.tv - all $52.87c when and if im paid it. and TBH I have no spare computer ports as I use the computer feed from the camera to 'tag' highlights of the halves so the head coach can show the points to the team at half and full time.

| I am a techie, I could help out. Could take your stream, re-encode it on the fly, upload to a server and send it out again from there. Just a suggestion mind, and you could take expenses out of it etc. Who knows how many RL fans would watch? I use a similar service for football, the site charges around 2.50 for a game/day which is very dodgy legally but he hides in Gibralter or somewhere. This could be done legally with the blessing of the club(s). No idea if it is a goer from a financial point of view but it is another possible way of the club making some money, and you getting more than $56!

| I don't expect this to be popular nor do I know how much extra money if any it would generate it is just a question.
Would closing the North stand and opening only the East and West stands on match days for the remaining home games help? Obviously the only advantage is the additional entrance fee increase. Alternatively £16 accross the board and keep the North stand open.

| It would cost more to open the East Stand than the North because of the greater number of exits etc which would mean more stewards.
