| sorry just checked from Stockport and services are very good. Are you catching the train to Fax Frank? I'm thinking of catching the one that gets in about 1.38pm.

But that was n`t your initial dig was it. You portrayed the LSV as an inaccessible place to attend by Train, fully knowing we don`t have a Train station directly linked .As opposed to your club, who have nationally linked lines to each stand including free entry and free food, plus the obligatory smoke hoods.

| I could do Tony btw re Sheffield on May 15 Man Picc 14-20 Sheffield 15-08pm. Few in the Tap at the Station (good selection of Real Ale) 20 minute walk to the ground. 19-11pm back to Manchester arrives 20-06pm. Couple at Weatherspoons in Piccadilly and you could get a train from Piccadilly at 21-41pm to Bramhall.

| Back to topic, I really hope Wigan gets an England game and Leigh gets a Tonga game against someone like Ireland or Scotland. I reckon our towns got a bit of a soft spot for Tonga after we have had quite a few Tongans play for us who have been cult players. Jimmy Veikosos, Tau Liku and Lee Hansen. Who was that maniac second rower in the late nineties who always tried to big hit people?

| Quote ="jonny the leyther"No need to apologise, every point you have made is valid. The amount of sports fans that have either slept rough, spent nights in hotels or staying at Piccadilly all night, you wouldn't believe. They trust trains and public transport on a Saturday night or even worse a Sunday, when they've been drinking all day. There's always a chance of engineering works, RRB's and strikes on Sundays too.
Like Glow says, they see a station in a town and assume that the Stadium will be across the road from it.'"
Especially a mistake when getting a train from Kilmarnock and seeing the last train home pulling out of Carlisle station just as you arrive!
Nice taxi bill for Scotrail though
I'm considering going on the train to Halifax by the way Frank & Tony, hoping to catch the Hibs-Hamilton game in the Pump Room at 12 (unless our minibus is planning on getting there in time for that).

| If you or anyone need any info on journeytimes, fares or any info just let me know and i'll put it through the computer at work which takes maintenance works and replacement buses into consideration.

I will probably go by train Tony but usually arrive earlier than 1-38pm as I like to get a free drink off my Fax mate Bentleyman. You'll remember him from when we went to watch Fax against Swinton. I am pretty sure it was his round when he went to the ground early.

Wondered that myself, thought Dave Whelan owned the stadium outright.

Forgot to mention I'm going Wednesday dinnertime and back Thursday but good effort all the same Jonny!
Council still have a shareholding in DWS and the 'handover' has never happened.
