Maybe look at increasing the committee and having set roles to even be on the committee, hopefully then Lynda relieving a bit of pressure off you?

From what you have said LISA has a chairman with no time free, a secretary who gets his job done well and yourself who does everything else. LISA needs to be either vibrant and ground breaking or it needs to let the club get on with fundraising and support its efforts as a supporters body.
The club organising a quiz would be far better supported than a LISA one, LISA does not have the contacts/networks to run successful dinners/functions. Organising sponsored walks etc Dereks forecast comp and running coaches will be a fantastic effort in itself. Stop beating yourself up, you do a great job but understand what cant be done and demand your peers at the top table do more.

Sportsmens / persons dinners usually raise a bit of money.

I would support any type of fundraiser, but would prefer ,Casino night, Race night or Quiz , no preference really .

Friends of mine were in the Queens Arms just before Xmas and by chance they walked in on a Wii fund raising night.

Apparently the general gist of it was you paid a pound and entered a competition, 50% to winner and 50% to the charity, they played bowls, hula-hoop, tennis, the heading game, the dance/step thingy etc.

They said it was something a little different, and good laugh, don’t know how successful it was as a fundraiser.

You can hire the big tv and wii...... a mates wedding had one last year, it was good fun.

Or just use a DVD projector and a screen, and surely someone has a Wii?
