Oh I'll cast mine back much longer than that! As far as 1954 when I first started to watch the club as youngster. The current threequarter line is the worst I've ever seen represent Leigh,(mostly the same as last year) however, Millward should receive some praise for the teams league position this season. He has without doubt however, been 'outcoached' on too many occasions and I can't understand his lack of variety in play! All teams have had to do to beat Leigh is; move the ball wide! and that has been so for the last two seasons. Poor old Widnes, they are heading off for Super League and cant beat Leigh when, most other teams dont seem to have a problem!
We got out of 'jail' last season with our reprieve and i'd hoped we would add some quality players to our ranks! I don't know who is responsible for those signings but, how many have had an influence?
Hartley, played two matches? has a History of missing games yet, we signed him!
Duffy, has been outstanding although, he has struggled with fitness at times!
Paul, Super League 'Legend' I've never rated him and, I still don't!
Nash, Unlucky with early season injury however in the couple of games he's played has done well!
Bibey, Missed a couple of early games but I think he has done OK, without being a star!
Goulden, An inspirational player at times, every team needs a Goulden!
Millward's biggest failure has been not adding anyone to his squad with Pace! It has been painful to watch so called 'lessor clubs' come to LSV and run us off the Pitch!
I don't know how much Ian Millward costs Mr Thomas and,he will have to decide if the money is worth it in view of the fact we are definately not able to submit a Super League application, not that we were ever likley to gain one anyhow!
I'll be there Boxing Day as usual, its the younger supporters who have my sympathy as they are never likley to see Leigh reach the heights we older supporters, have seen the Club perform at!

We couldnt add pace because we had maxed out of the salary cap, players who were in our back line thsi year were already on contract this year. Rest assured we will be back bigger and better next year, AT is going no where and neither is the coach. Have a good off season.

Both are on CONTRACT which would mean paying them up which would leave a gap ion next years planned outlay so get serious.

without a doubt Robbie has been a wonderful player in his time,but I fear he has too many things going on in his life outside of actually playingfor Leigh which probably prevents him playing like the Robbie of old, his plays are now all one dimensional they all know what his moves are going to be .as for Millward I can think of only Terzis or perhaps Darren Abram who I would rather see coaching here

The fact is that we've lost games due to having no pace and weak defence in the three-quarters, last night most breaks that Sheffield made were down our right wing. Sorry to say it, but Sheffield ripped us to pieces, and had they had a decent goalkicker on the field, the score would have been embarrassing. Let's see what squad IM builds for next season.

Sorry Evvo adnd Matt you are wrong. What can a half back do if he barks out- wich I could hear him doing- instructions to the players for the attacking formation only to turn to pass and they are all over the place. Where does he pass the ball to. We are the same in defense as we are in attack. Stupid and lazy. Sorry I can't say that about every one in the team but some are.
