Just finished reading through the postings and it occurs to me that most contributors can see why the team is playing in fits and starts SO why cant the coaching staff!
1) Our pack is just not big enough especially if Hobson isn`t out there.
2) We have the best Full Back imo (Donlan) outside SL playing out of position. He could easily do for us what Neil Turley used to -- join the threequarters at pace.
3) No consistency at Half Back and no idea if Watson isn`t there.
4) A kicking game that defies belief, and not in a good way!
If the team has some sort of game plan who on the field calls the shots?
Its going to be a difficult Season unless Kelly & Co get a grip.
God help us when we play Halifax.
Incidentally why was the East Stand open? I counted 45 people seated!

I was under the impression Andy Bracek's Girlfriend/fiancee ? is a Barrovian and he isn't on loan he is signed on.

I agree, but would also add that we haven't got enough players who can start moves either.

It is certainly the best squad I have seen at Barrow in my lifetime. It is safe to say that the Barrow BoD have as you say "Gone for it bigtime" I as a supporter am optimistic that silverware is within Barrows grasp this year. 1 more thing - I don't think Barrow have ever gone bust, nearly did a few years back but never gone bust.

The crowds are getting better week by week so hopefully we will break the 3500 - 4000 mark as the season goes on and we hold onto top spot

You didn't even get that in the early 80's, and Barrow had a cracking little side then.

Always enjoy the craic in Ulverston, but I do have a sneaky feeling that Barrow will miss out.

Widnes will come good, and Halifax are by far the best attacking side in the comp.

Ill agree to disagree mate. Most in the Championship had us down as a side that would do well to survive. Admittedly Barrow haven't been firing since the Wigan game but this side will only get better and better which if I were an opposing fan I would be a bit worried about. Come the business end of the season Barrow should be firing on all cylinders (barring injuries) and I would see us as a threat to Halifax's seemingly 'Untouchable' aura. They have had 2 closes results lately and were lucky to leave C.P with the points as they were at the Rec. They are a good side though and are there to be shot at.

What has me believing is our players attitude and commitment this year. A Barrow side of old would have been on the end of a 30/40 point hiding but not this lot - they have a belief and a never say die attitude to go along with what I see as a very good side with quite a few players who would get in any Championship team. I sit here ready to be shot at
