Agreed, it seems a good, common sense idea. We just need to find someone to put it in place, after the 200k debt is gone.

Why do we need shares?We're all in the same pot arn't we?We're all ment to be pulling in the same direction arnt we?.Theres no millionaire coming in so it sounds like its going to be an amalgamation of different groups that is going to get this club thru,how can there not be openness and transparency in such a situation?.

We must not do advance season tickets - it simply delays the inevitable as no cash comes in later.

We must overcome the short term cash flow problem, improve our income streams and drive the club forward - WE CAN AND WILL DO IT.

I think anyone paying this should get as many kids season tickets as they like for a tenner each.

Although I have always paid up front for my ST I would welcome paying £12 a month as it will take the strain off the bank balance with it being just before Christmas

Unfortunately, we live in a town of, shall we say "rogues". Direct debits are easy to cancel once you have the merchandise. I would hope that the club have fail safe action plans that would mean that anyone who partakes in such actions, not only has the ticket immediately electronically suspended, but are named and shamed by the club, ideally on the big screen at half time!

Indeed, if we talking about 1,000+ people having a constant Direct Debit with the club then it would most likely require a full-time member of staff for it's operation, so you can immediately deduct £15k or so from the cash such a scheme would bring in.

If you was to start DDs now then by the time the season starts you would be sufficiently in front with payments for the club to spot anyone who had cancelled there DD,infact you could have payed for you ST in full before the season starts?

Could it not be possible to enable( Electronically) the ST as being valid for the honest folk who would n`t even have dreamed of cancelling their DD. As for the scrotes who cancelled theirs they would receive a taser like zap as they tried to enter. This could shown as HT entertainment on the screens.............You know it makes sense.

The idea is that it's a constant DD with the club regardless of when the season is and having a season ticket is presumably only one of the benefits.

i understand that matt but if your 5 months in advance with payments then thats plenty time for the club to find any DDs that have been cancelled.

Exactly, in which case it doesn't matter how much you've already paid, if you miss a payment without a reasonable excuse then you can't use your season ticket. With the Direct Debit, the club would be able to obtain a list of those who have defaulted on their payment for that month within 3-4 working days of the 'due date'.

The point of being well in advance with payments is the club wouldn't need a full time member of staff on aprox 15k to keep an eye on DDs as you suggested it would need.

Maybe so, but I don't see how the already limited resources would stretch to properly monitoring such a scheme as obviously we'd need someone to operate for further applications during the year, organising members events etc etc.

we might actually find that most people are honest and wont cancel there DD or if they need to cancel then they might just inform the club of there actions.
