Well I'm one of who you respectfully call "you lot".
With the turmoil that was this season, very thin squad numbers, and some key injuries in the forwards at the end of the season I think Paul has done a great job of getting us to compete with the best in our league. With more back-up in the squad and more front line talent next season, I'm am sure we will be even more competitive and importantly also more entertaining.
My opinion is that we have one of the best coaches in the Championship, who will get better still as his experience grows.
What you see as sentiment, I see as a good choice of coach for the right reasons.
In my opinion, PR is the right coach for the future of our club.

As has been said on here, his peers (i.e. Championship coaches) voted him the best coach in the Championship last season, and he's in the running again this season. No mean feat when you consider how many Yorkshire club coaches there are in the Championship!

Perhaps they have worked out that voting for him will help to keep him in the job because they will have Leigh's tactic (not tactics) sussed.

Charlie cannot believe this 1st post , PR has done so much this season for our Club , I have been privileged to hear Speak to the Touchdown Club and Fans a fair few times this season , and Charlie knows , what a Deep thinker he is in regards of Rugby , and how much it hurts him when we lose .

I don't agree with everything he does or his team choices , but I know he is a thorough professional Coach , who puts everything into the Job he does , OK we have again not had the Finish we wanted to the Season ,but I feel we are not Far away from getting it right , again to Criticise young Ryan is unbelievable , the lad gives his all every week , after yesterdays game the faces of the Players said it all , like the Fans they were gutted , we can all point the finger of Blame , and obvious Targets are the Coach and Players , but I for one will be there next season , cheering Paul on , and wanting the lads to win every game , it was only a couple of months ago at Fax , they were the best thing going ,Cmon Leythers show your support .

I trust what the BOM are saying about future signings strengthening our team for next year. Stronger and more options on the field, and a deeper/stronger back-up squad to cover injuries, will give Paul more options in a game.
I trust he has the ability to use them wisely.

I said the Players and Coach were obvious Targets of Blame as a fact , not a question .But I for one am NOT going to slate them for the whole season , im unhappy about the Seasons finish , as everybody else is , but I remember the NRC at the Shay , and plenty of other good games this season , a week ago folk were slating Wigan for their loss of form , but they came good on Thursday night ,I think we will rise next year , just give Paul and the BOM the chance to do so .

Well I got slated on here earlier on in the season when I made reference to our chosen style of play despite following the team everywhere almost every week of the campaign.

My point now is that our player recruitment [iso far[/i is not really conductive to a new entertaining brand of Rugby League from Leigh in 2014.

I feel we will need to play differently, If we are going to build crowds inside the LSV next season above the 2000 mark.

It's a long off season I know so I stand to be corrected.

Harold I don't think I have ever slated you , maybe a difference of opinion at times , as well as agreeing with some of your opinions ,its been said on here how hard it will be to replace Parker and Hopkins , but I feel we have done a decent job thus far , I think we all know we lack speed in our backs , and again hopefully Paul and the BOM will address this soon .We all want see fast flowing rugby , but teams like Batley don't play it , have faith .

Really? Seem to be similar players to me, clever but not a lot of pace in there. You'd be more dangerous with Jamie Ellis IMO.

Also I would of thought PR has now had enough practice at play off rugby to not be out coached every time.

I think any coach whose team go out unexpectedly in a Play off Game at home on a losing run will cop some questions whether people deem it fair or not.
In terms of the tactics I can see both side of the argument, at times we have played shocking 1 up RL and at times some pretty good 'left to right' stuff, I kinda think that depends on the opposition.
We are 4th best in the league table for a reason and for me I think its fair for fans to expect to be better than that in the Championship as one of the bigger clubs, I'm also certain Rowley knows the expectations next season will be far higher than this season and will be as gutted as everyone else at how the season has tailed off.

The Watcher does not believethat it will be hard to replace Parker, the man hardly played a game all season.

Whilst Rob had his fair share of injuries, the Watcher would have seen Parker turn out 18 times this season. (if the Watcher had in fact been watching)

The Budgiezilla hopes Rob will still be playing for us next season.

Leigh Centurions are a company trying to sell their product to customers, the BOM are doing their best to promote the product with all their incentives and hype, this is basic business, but if the product doesn't sell then questions have to be asked.
I don't have to keep saying why I think the product isn't selling, you all know what I think.
Next year will be very interesting just to see how much PR has developed as a coach, now he has what he wants, there will be no hiding next year with excuse after excuse.

I take your point about selling the 'product', but attendances are down spectacularly at all Championship clubs, with the probable exception of Featherstone. Surely that's not down to poor coaching?

I think it has a lot to do with it, poor coaching, poor results, poor attendance.
Good coach,good results, good attendance.
People wont buy a bad product, but they will buy a good product.
Its that simple really.
