As far as I'm concerned Neil has earned the right to attempt to get to SL and be the coach if we get there and we take what comes fully supporting him.

In round 1 we lost to Batley (who are having a great season) away at Mt Pleasant... by 2 pts... to a last minute penalty. That was a bit of a blow but Jukes had only had 10 days in charge after the club was rocked by Rowley walking out on us on the eve of the new season.

Since then we have played 17 league games. We have won 16 of them and got a draw away at Bradford.

Why? It's a forum...I enquire because a number of Leigh fans were questioning the team after last week. I think Jukes has done a decent job but is he cut out for super league?

I don't think anyone can answer your last question,who knows who is cut out for SL?Only this week Paul Anderson got the chop at Hudds so obviously Ken Davy doesn't think he is cut out for SL, your question can't be answered only opinions given.

Obviously the thread has been started by an opposition fan who hasn't seen the team play. Please ignore the troll.

I doubt there are many coaches in England that could've dealt with the adversity that Neil has faced this season in such a professional manner and delivering the results that we have seen.

Hopefully the coaches coming in to support will help take some of the pressure off and allow him to focus on the job in hand.

Neil Jukes, quite clearly is the man for me. The table does not lie and despite the wealth of talent in the squad at his disposal it is a remarkable run of 17 consecutive league matches without defeat, given the circumstances.

He has a tricky problem at half back that he needs to manage with four outstanding candidates challenging for just the two spots. I am not sure his first choice 2 would also be mine based on the past 2 matches, but then again I only pay to watch our team and not coach it.

I am sure Neil will be the first to admit it is a very nice problem for him to deal with.
