thought higson was our best player today.hes the only player with any true pace in our team.the left winger just arked round i think it was alstead from the tap on the 20 and left him for dead.in basil i trust and like said earlier some people missed their chance today.find a lightning winger for next year or if possible for the run in this year,one that will get you off your seat like dessie used to do and we wont be far off the tropheys.roll on thursday will be a different team they face then.their 7 ran everything for them, good player but basil has we now know wasnt sat up in the stand for nothing and he will get it right for thursday no probs.

For all his endeavour Mike Morrison is not big enough ( I have said that for the past 2 years) and even if you take into account his 'quick PTB' (which Bibey will gives us anyway) we badly lack a grunt forward to pack down along side Hill.

And as for Leulaui, read above. Simply not big enough - Sorry.

Is Nash fully fit? I don't think i've seen him get past a slow jog since he signed. Well done to Batley they made far fewer errors and gave away fewer penalties and were just generally better than us today. We had no 'spark' at all today. Was the most flat performance i've seen this year. Even our 2 tries were nothing creative at all.

Hopefully at least Riddy, Taylor, Bibey and Donlan will be back for thursday and hopefully a few more as well.

Saying as there are only two players out on loan, one of who has been out injured for most of this season. Is todays performance there fault?

Tbh mate i can see what Basil is doing. We are getting some very good results in the reserves and he feels the two who have gone out on loan need a tougher challenge. Maybe because they are above everyone else? I think these two will be in Basils plans

I dont think we will 'stuff' Batley on Thursday, it's going to be tough again but we will have a much better chance of winning with 8 first team regulars back.

well I came 3000 miles last year to watch us lose 74-6 at Barrow, so this year it was 42 points better! Still a terrible game, Higson the best by a mile, duffy tried hard. Mort was absolutely awful. NO pace, NO ideas, too flat, very little passion, guile or speed of thought.

I do think Thursday will be a different game - put it this way, it better had be!

It will be another tough game on Thursday make no mistake. With more like a full team out though I'd expect us to win but not by much. Batley will have their tails up now but in a way this might have been a blessing in disguise for us. Lets get behind the lads on Thursday, we can do it!!!

just read match report in LE, and what struck me on reading it, is firstly dave parkinson is a better writter than this guy, or is that jus me being biased, no what really struck me was the mention of the word speed, it is mentioned numerous times, and surprisingly not i relation to leigh.,

I was referring to the players recalled in that game.

I'm happy to clear that up.

Anyway It's time to draw a line under that performance and move on as a team. If we win on Thursday, yesterday's match will be nothing but a distant memory.

Nash to me seemed very ordinary today IMO maybe he left SL because he knew he wouldn't be able to cut it up there.
