I will still be going but I would be outraged if I was a Wigan fan and had already paid for tickets after the coach said it would be a mixed team and then decides to send a young team out.
Maybe if he had decided to send just a couple of first teamers it wouldnt of been as bad but the decision he made is a bit of a shocker.

As long as our lads get a run out and a good game then thats the main thing but the attendance will be badly affected

The Wigan u21 side is a very good one and it should be able to keep the score respectable but i'd expect Leigh to win it by 16-20 points with the added experience.

It could be a good opportunity for Millward to take a look at a couple of players with the hope of getting them on loan. I'm sure there must be at least 2 or 3 players in our side the club would like to get some first team games somewhere.

I will be there and I am taking a few newcomers with me, and this should be a cracking game that hopefully makes them see the light and return time and time again.

I posted on Wednesday what I thought the team would be and I was wrong with one of the starting 13.

It's not a bad team that Wigan are sending, they have only beaten 5 times in the last two years and have won their last two Grand Finals.

I'm looking forward to see these kids testing themselves against Leigh.

I'll be giving it a miss looking at that team.

Me and my family/friends have got two boxes - the only problem is that half of them are crust munchers!!

In that Wigan team are at least 8 future SL players a couple of future Internationals and the rest will be top end Ch players (mostly for us I hope) I only wish we could send a team like that to represent Leigh.

Sorry - I didnt see the video, I just saw the news item on the 18 that said

"Paul Deacon had a bruised wrist but he should be fine for Warrington. Karl Pryce should also be OK for that game. I assumed that he meant a few of the more established players would be playing us, not taking the young ones out of last Sundays team list to play with the other youngsters



I dont mind who we play but as far as I can remember back to last years friendly you sent the full first team and I can understand him playing the majority of first teamers agaist Warrington, but I had hoped that one or 2 might of figured.

Well to be honest I've been off work sick for the last 2 1/2 weeks and wasn't really feeling up to going anyway. Seeing the team made my mind up. Of course I hope we stuff 'em. I'll hopefully feel up to the Oldham game the week after.

We should play some our stars of the future Pownall Nicholson and Hopkins i'm sure they would relish it and put themselves in with a shout of a place against Owdum next wk.

Seeing as Wigan are treating the fixture with some contempt I'll give it a miss. To be honest I think the team they're putting out is a bit of an insult.

I'm sure these guys they're sending "will" be stars of the future but if we're going to play this fixture regularly then the least we want out of it is to make some money. I can't see Wigan bringing many for this and it'll put plenty of casual Leythers off as well.

I'll be surprised if the attendance if any bigger than the Warrington game to be honest. Sure I hope we win but money is tight for a lot of people and £14 to see our first team and Wigan's academy side is a bit much.

My cash will be going towards the Oldham game I reckon.

I get the feeling you know me from your smiley faces and laughing lol. I don't "slag" off I give an opinion of the situation. You don't have to like it or love it it's just an opinion.

I don't need an excuse to go or not thats just a personal decision... it just so happens that as much as I love the club it's not the only thing going on in my life and I'll pick and choose the games as I see fit.

With repect to the Wi@@n players selected, their team isn't in the 'spirit' of how the fixture was orginally planned. I'm sure their players will be comitted and talented however, its sure to impact on attendance.
