I agree, better for us to get in first and steal the "limelight" off Cas tomorrow which will now be the worlds worst kept secret and not be an exclusive statement. No good or bad time, just a shame it has to be some time.

I'm obviously disapointed thet Milwards gone,but i'm like you ,i'm glad its out in the open,theres no opportunity now for rumours and gossip,no one can throw stones at the club for trying to keeping everything hush hush.

The hard work starts now,trying to convince the supporters that the club is still going in the right direction.

And there begins another problem and a huge task.
We needed to convince new and lapsed support to attend and boost our gates, with losing players and now our coach coupled with being stuck in a low league for a minimum of 3 years we are going to have a helluva job keeping the support we have now let alone attracting new ones.

With everything going on off field at Leigh and within the game I think this is more serious than just a coach going.

A coach who we couldn't afford, and even then wouldn't have turned down Super League for all the money in the world. We got through it when Basil left last time and we will again.

To be honest mate the circumstances this time to last time are a lot different, if it was just the coach I'd say fair enough but its a number of things with the biggest being a lack of benefactor / investor rather than Basil leaving.

No , the biggest being trapped in a stadium that cannot generate any income for the primary tenant other than fan attendance

TBH I think there are so many factors at the moment, none are probably better or worse than the other.
I just hope things settle down 'somebody' comes in and we can start to rebuild on what has been a fantastic season on field.
Hard times ahead IMO.

Will keep an eye open for plans going into WMBC for the LSV being redeveloped into a 20,000 capacity stadium.

All the benefits of hilton park didn't make us a SL standard club did it.

Reserve grade rl doesn't need such a large stadium

Why , who thinks we are , have been , or ever will be a SL standard club ?



The problem we have at the moment is playing in the LSV doesn't even make us a Championship standard club , whereas at Hilton Park we were

Crusaders and Gateshead did the decent thing,perhaps we should be honest and do the decent.
