If Riddy is fit again, I would have prefferred him to stay and get Reynolds loaned out

think its time someone from leigh opened their gob Never any news on the long term injured and now a player whos not been fit enough to play for us joins another sl club .Its no wonder Leigh is awash with rumours,and I for one think it has a detrimental effect on the loyal fans

Surely if a player is announced as out for the season, you are not requiring an update.....oh hang on there was an update from the player himself that he was possibly ahead of schedule. Why can't people just let the club get on with it....if happens, happens. There is nothing you or I can do about it. Giving back a season ticket because a player has gone on loan or stating they are not buying one in 2018 is a tad over dramatic...and yes I did read that on the facebook 'real fan' group

No problems with him going out on loan but giving one of your players to a club in the same situation as yourself seems self defeating.

Observing training sessions gives you a good insight into what is going on behind the scenes. When you look at the body language and the interactions between the players and coaches, also simply looking at the effort one player gives compared to the rest of the squad. Get down to the LSV mid week and you can see it yourself. Riddy has been sulking when he has made it on to the training field. Whether it is frustration at the amount of niggling injuries he's had or at his own form, who knows?

Whatever the reasons only a fool would loan a player to a direct rival no matter who comes in the fact is a player who on his day is as good as 6at directing play as you will see could win Huddersfield games the push them up and Leigh down the league, sounds to me like King Derek interfering again to bring in another "Big Name""

A decision probably forced upon us , HB being a position we do have cover for , although much debate among our fans from day one as to wether they have the quality for SL

It would seem the coaching staff have Riddy at the back of the list , meaning he isn't going to get a chance unless we suffer a serious injury crisis ' no doubt this doesn't sit well with Martyn , at his age now he will want to be playing

Obviously a preffered option for us would have been a mid Championship club , but if the Giants have asked then to be fair to Martyn he deserves to be given that choice , we do owe him that . He has taken that decision

If he has played his last for Leigh , then he deserves our thanks for many , many brilliant performances ' and I'd wish him well in the future , but hopes it isn't detrimental to our ambitions

Ridyard and Drinkwater complemented each other superbly in the 2016 8s. So, either a masterstroke, (akin to playing him at hooker pre-8s last year as a source of motivation), or a mind-explosion from Neil Jukes. I'd question if Ridyard has been given enough time to acclimatise with Super League, as every week, the team is chopped and changed - excluding injuries. And although Jukes is clearly happy to rotate players each week, does he actually know his best team? I guess time will tell.

Fairly sure that Martyn if he had been fit would have been 1 st choice to start the season , he wasn't , others took their chance and we had some decent results , since then injuries and IMO fatigue has made things more difficult for everybody , Martyn came in without any real change , then either dropped or injured ?

I believe Neil will know his best in his mind , but doubt he has had that option yet , our results have been disappointing , yet for me our performances have been quite good , nobody has taken us apart ( Cas excepted ) and most games have gone to the last quarter

Defiantly not easy , this SL lark , but still enjoying every minute , still confident some results will come

While Dereck will have his opinion like the rest of us , I believe the final word will be Neil's and the coaching staffs

Agree completely and with a depleted squad the results have been pretty close. SL though is about fine margins and a loss is a loss and Leigh a win and quick. The longer the pattern, the harder it will be to break. And Ridyard + Brough = potent combination?

Some rubbish on here, he's had a bulging disc in his back and been in agony, he had injections in his back (epidural) last week and it has worked. Jukes has told him he will not feature for the next month and it's the coaches choice to send him out.

If you bump into him round Leigh ask him directly, he will tell you himself he told the club he wanted to stay and fight for his shirt but ultimately it's not his choice.

Personally I think this could be a good move for martyn to be a dominant half/game manager again after being second fiddle all year, Rick Stone has wanted him since last year.

Whether lacking match fitness or not favoured, could be an opportunity for Riddy to get up to SL speed and then return to us for the Middle 8s. Would be great to see the Drinkwater, Ridyard partnership again. Looks like Rocky is being given his chance with Drinkwater atm so if no room for Riddy for the next few games makes sense to get him game time elsewhere - don't forget we have no reserves and the dual with Sheffield doesn't seem to being used!
