the free tickets which I saw being handed out in Leigh miners club on at least three occasions this season them free tickets ,for thursday night matches .

Good I hope those that got them enjoyed theirselves and if one of them starts coming it was well worth it IMHO

Those 'FREE' tickets were sponsored by The Cooperative as part of the contractual obligation to clubs being on TV, and have been 'discussed on here many many times.

I can't wait for the meeting to find out what direction the club decide's to go in.
I hope i dont come away saying "brilliant" i can see us having this same meeting in another couple of years.

I would think that a Supporters Trust discussion would be for a totally different meeting, mention it yes push it yes but deciding to start one?

If one person who was handed a free ticket went, and was impressed enough by what they saw to go again - and pay to get in - then this 'promotion' has had the desired effect.

People going to the game were offered them in the Centurion, that took money off the club. These could be a good thing but not when given away willy nilly

The co-op sponsorship paid for the tickets so the club got the money for them anyway. How many times lol

The point being Derek is these tickets were supposed to be for families only , and if whoever offered them knew this , was it families they gave them to ? , this is the reason that AT would not go down the free ticket route , it isn't hard to control , it just needs the ' will ' and the ' effort '

If they were not going to end up in the hands of the people they were intended for , it would have been better just to burn them
