| If LCRLFC is an 11% shareholder of the LSV Stadium then surely the Club is remunerated 11% of all profits arising from sell on rental of the facility i.e MUFC, Elton John, Lionel Richie & any International's or other events, or will it not work this way ?
The only way of a very bright future is in owning the Stadium 100% outright !

| Great idea Ste and I 100% agree with it. How is it ever going to happen? Never thought we might be getting 11% of all LSV income though!

| Is it 11% of all income, or 11% of profits? There is quite a difference there, especially if LSV isn't making a profit!

| Quote ="Alan"Harold,
I fully agree with what you say. I was facilitating a Communications group at the Centurions, (Centurions Radio, LCTV, Matchday magazine, Social media, etc) when Keith Freer was chairman, and Trevor Barton was CEO. We had the same issues with LSV then.=#BF0000[u They used to deduct their "agreed" charges from matchday receipts, before passing us our share, (presumably they aren't doing that now, or we couldn't have 'withheld' any payments to them?)[/u and we had constant queries over agreed percentages, stewarding costs etc. It was never easy to arrange meetings, let alone reach an agreement on a 'fair' pricing mechanism.
In the early days of our Group, Trevor took me to meet the LSV management staff, and they asked if I had any questions for them. "Just one, I replied - is it true that you are looking to get the Centurions out of LSV?" (remember our financial crisis at that time?) They were horrified, pointing out that it wasn't at all in their interests - financial, or 'political' - to boot us out. I would like to think those interests are just the same now. I realise that they are committed to making a go of the Sports Village complex, financially. But, which is worse - Leigh paying a 'reasonable', affordable rent, or LSV receiving nothing at all, with the anchor tenant playing elsewhere?'"
That’s how I always thought it worked, it’s what I would do if I was the Landlord and had the opportunity to take my money prior to handing over the balance.

Isn't it the Batley game in 2016 that is still in question, where the matchday receipts was zero?

I've no idea, but even if it is only the Batley game, if I was the Landlord (LSV) and DB had decided to offer a free game without my consent, I’d tell him for every other game thereafter I’m taking my usual X amount plus Y every game until you’ve paid your arrears.

I don't know either, 'Leythig'.
Nevertheless, presumably LSV were still entitled to charge for stewarding, which was always separate from the % rental. The stewarding presence that day would have had to be higher than usual, with all four stands in use. However, to offset that extra cost to LSV, they would have surely had increased income, in the form of much higher food & drink sales?

Was it without consent ?
If it was , then why ? , maybe because approaching them with a realistic marketing idea of offering a recently promoted anchor tenant to let the population of the town in for free would have been received how ?
" Cracking idea Derek , yes we'll run with that , we should be able to cover costs on food and drink sales , and it'll hopefully see a few more through the door next year in SL "
Or more likely , " No Derek , you know we don't work like that , it's our job to run the stadium for maximum income and potential profit for ourselves and the council , not some poxy RL club "

Think that relates to the value of the LSV, would Leigh really get £9m if someone bought it - hadn't even considered that aspect

No idea , hadn't even considered it
What would it buy us ?
But that wasn't your initial thought , you thought it was 11% of the turnover , not the profit , if it was the turnover we wouldn't be in the position we are currently in , nd there would be investors queuing up at the door
Sorry just missed different posters

| Grundy hill estates were the owners of Hilton park and give the rugby club a 99 year lease, all monies collected on match days went to the rugby club that was in 1997,I know they ran the football club{and that went bust},but the sale of Hilton park and other land was the reason the sports village was built, and I may be wrong but I went to one meeting and the main land owners were Wigan and Leigh collage.so maybe Grundy hill still have a stake in the sports village.

Grundy Hill still own Hilton Park as far as I am aware , it wasn't part of the LSV deal , that's why it it'S still there . Landlocked and essentially worthless

Hilton Park / Leigh East had planning permission for some 80 houses being built of 2 3 and 4 bed homes. For whatever reason, nothing has materialised from this but the plans are probably still in place. Either way, it has never been the most desired land in Town !
I mentioned the 11% as it is the stake Leigh Centurions have in the LSV as a total entity. It has a say and if the club says bye, LSV is potentially worthless.
Leigh Harriers and Leigh East have something to show for it in its entirety and this is the same as the Rugby club in regards to the stadia.
Get LSV valued and pay the rugby club off and potentially buy this worthless piece of land off Grasmere St ? Enough for a great little stadium ?
It wont happen, but we are in this mess due to over inflated egos, pyss poor man management and the inability to revert to a Status Quo, thus ripping a pretty good team apart which in my opinion would have spanked Toronto easily. Hull KRs model should have been repeated.
Our reputation and professionalism has spiralled in the last few years
And people love the position we are in due to arrogance and cockyness.
Time to consolidate and put 17 Leigh lads on the pitch like we did in the Early 90's. Its really important that we don't go into admin for both the club and LSVs sake.
We will come good again and hopefully we will be ran by a good group of people that put both fans and club first.

I smiled when I read that bit G as I read the story on TL RL from Kevin Ashcroft that team of Leigh lads got us promoted to Div 1.
Funny that one of Beaumonts Yes men also a Leigh lad and club director posted on FB that if the people of Leigh wanted a team of Leigh lads playing in the local Dog and Duck league then so be it but they wanted SL and Loads of Highly Paid Antipodeans to compete with the big boys, well that ended well!

| It was a happy time Ste and we had some wonderful young lads playing for all 3 Leigh groups.
People on the terraces probably didn't realise how happy the players were and Ashy allowed us to go with the flow with zero interference from above.
Unfortunately, money and egos have ruined the club BUT we are in a far better position than 1991 to 93 for sure.

| As far as Rugby has been concerned, it's not been that bad , I've seen worse,it has strong parralels with the season we started as extreme favourites for the League and ended up scratching round for players ,I'm not sure of the year though. The same can be said for this year,we started with a very strong looking squad, yet lost 5 of the first 6 games then found ourselves with to much ground to get back.
I think we became obsessed with Toronto and PR, kept Juksey to long and had to much faith in KC,and Derek's ego needed feeding, the fans did their bit and bought into his vision.Myself as always I enjoyed Blackpool though not the result and enjoyed a few good games.
On a personal view ,it has been a bad year, losing a couple of very close friends, and being badly betrayed by folk very close to me, but the light at the end of the 2019 tunnel hopefully is here, this coming Saturday my eldest Daughter gets married, all our Family and friends will be there, so a happy ending, hopefully a happy ending will occur for the Mighty Leythers.
I know it's a little early but , I think 2020 will be a great year for both the Carolis and Leigh.

Just how I feel Derek. No passion in the shirt today, for whatever reason,,where we go from here is anybodies guess, the players were at fault today, but the blame has to rest with DB, if you want to take the plaudits you should be ready to take the brickbats.

I’ve heard verbal abuse is common and tolerated on the terraces of Leigh, so wouldn’t expect this forum to be any different.
