Rob Parker was disappointed that the shirt couldn't shown on Thursday due to some mix up but he showed me the shirt design on his phone & it looks great


BTW our new shirt sponsor is a MASSIVE world wide company but Rob said if I blabbed the name I'd get a slap so I'm saying nothing have you seen the size of his hands

Please refrain from using words like MASSIVE and BIG, on here. Look where it got the club on the Awards Night thread!

We shouldn't confuse putting money into the club as a minor sponsor and a 1/500 chance of winning a good prize with purchasing a shirt. I am happy with mine from last year as I am just to play a small part in helping the clubs finances and BOD's by putting in my 25 quids worth for no return except someone may recognise my name embossed into the design of the shirt.

Well no matter the design and no matter the sponsor, the chance to get my Dad's name on a Leigh shirt, that will also have my son and me on there, has me chomping at the bit to see the shirt then get it on my back.
And I'd forgot about the added prize opportunity

Looking at the Halifax board and they're doing the same as us with the 25 quid for your name on a shirt. It appears their take up was low so now it's only 10 quid

I was gonna pay for both my sons names to be put on. Wanted them as a keepsake for when they're older. But then I found out they weren't going to be on the kids ones, which put me off. Was still going to get my name put on, but to be honest didn't get the chance over the last couple of weeks.

Must admit the only reason I didn't do it was once I found out it wouldn't be on the kids ones, but live and learn. I'll buy an extra polo shirt or summat at Christmas to make up the shortfall.

Think you are a bit behind the times there , Fax did the names on shirts last year and they charged £25 which included membership of the Supporters Trust . It was reasonably succesful and made over £5,200 for the Supporters Trust who benifited from this initiative , however this year (this has only recently been released so nothing to do with the take up) it was decided to charge just £10 for the shirt name and not having the membership tagged in but hoping far more will decide to do it .

Fair do's, I thought it had been already launched this year at 25 quid (was wondering how the fans who paid 25 would take it)

. Think 10 would have been a more realistic figure for us as we'll.

Look at it this way, 500 at a tenner would have raised less than they have actually raised with 250 at £25. So you could class that as a marketing success I suppose. Especially as you may not have got the 500 anyway.

You wouldn't get anyone complaining at £10 but I still think £25 is a excellent price & I hope the club try this one again

I hope they do also and learn from this one ie home and away plus kids shirts, I can understand the kit packs not being possible

What's the latest news on the shirts ? Are we due for a preview of them any time soon.

Well I think it will be soon and am told it incorporates Cherry & White hoops.
