As mentioned above, we're apparently debt free so the first two might not happen, but the latter two seem almost inevitable as far as I'm concerned.

Well I don't know anyone locally that has enough money and cares enough to invest in a club that can't go anywhere for the next three seasons anyway. And the RFL says they're looking after the interests of the game etc.... absolute hogwash.

They're slowly strangling the game below SL and nobody seems to be able to do anything about it.

Be prepared to unite and give our club a future we all want.

I agree but thats how it is, our concerns should be having a club to support right now.

I haven't got the money to "unite" either. Heard today at work their are going to be redundancies so anyone and everyone is under the microscope there.

On a serious note we have everything here that he needed at Oldham and didnt have to enable them to go forward.

Growing Support, Stadium, Best Amateur Clubs, Great young talent and a good solid coach.

Does anyone think that our club would not have Robbie insured against a serious injury and that goes for any player at Leigh. This is profesional sport, well as close as it gets.

Perhaps it time for Ian to take charge of his men and work on a few more tatics,worrying thing is as my kids pointed out" its just like last year when other teams sussed us out"

Like people have said its as a unsettling effect on the club and really needs the board[who ever is on it to come out and say either no one wants to buy or invest in us or we have talks on going,either way people know were we stand then?

We will continue to live under the mushroom until real change is welcomed. AT didnt want help and wasted a lot of what he put in, but it was his money to spend so it was not for us to comment how he spent it.
The facts are we have a carp deal with LSV that strangles us, no business skills inside the structure and need to have a total clear out whilst finding £150k plus pa to fund the gap.
The funny thing is £150k is not a lot to find if we look outside the box and pull together.

well ian laid it bare for all to hear and understand, if nobody/group steps up we are in a real mess. This is the problem when one person is the main financier of a club, that person is not there anymore, and this is what happens, just a question but the remaining directors, do they have the financial clout to invest or not? i guess i could answer my own question really, basically ian said as much on the radio. worrying times for us, i am far more concerned with off field matters than the performance this evening, best team won by a mile.

We should have only 1 concern and that is the future of our club, the rest simply doesnt matter at present.

One or two of the board members can fund the club if they wanted to till the end of the season, lots of rumours going about but someone needs to deny or confirm them from the club.

I always thought that AT had made the shares available to anyone that was interested, but obviously no one was. For the club to continue it looks like someone (or group of people) need to get interested quick. Maurice, do you think that there is real interest from the business community in the town to keep the club going. My personal opinion is probably not, but lets hope so. As you keep repeating the fans can help, but I would question that the fans could raise the £150k per year that you quote.
