Thats why I opened it too.

We have got a garden centre in Leigh, the one just short of the Greyhound on the Lancs. OK its no Benst but the plants are very good quality and its dirt cheap. Me and the Mrs usually have a look round Bents then go here to buy and the prices are about 75% cheaper.

Bents is extortionate, and we only ever go there near crimbo too take the kids around the dispay.

Lots of negative responses here - typical of some folk on this forum !

There are quite a number of people in Leigh who depend on people going to Bents to spend money as it pays their wages! Some of them appeared in the advert too!

Life is about choices, you can choose to go and spend money in a shop or choose not to! Just because you choose not to, does that give you the right to call those who do 'snobs' ?

Wether its in Warrington, Leigh or Timbuctoo, it doesn't really matter does it?

It's like being in a playground at times with some of you lot!

The point of this post was. Why do Bents say that they are near to Warrington when they are just outside the border of Leigh?

Because Warrington have a SL team and Leigh doesn't (yet)??

But they do very nice displays at Christmas, a bit OTT but nice. Always gives the missus some idea's........

Whatever you think of Bent's, its a very successful business...and we could do with a few more of those in the area.

Perhaps, some folks would like Bent's to be relocated to Wigan, then we could have something else to moan about.

Just got back from there. We were well under-charged for some plants. When we pointed it out, to the woman on the till - being honest Leythers - we were told 'that's the price on our system!'

Must say the things on sale at Bents are of a very good quality we bought an artificial xmas tree years ago and it is still as good as new, i know it is only a tree but plants we have bought have also been good quality.

That would be the only reason that I would step foot in their shop again. Thdey are out of order. It should be Bents near Leigh, or on the road to Leigh. Its bloody miles away from Warrington.

You`re not wrong its about 2 miles from Leigh town centre and about 7 miles to warrington....However I reside in Atherleigh about 1 1/2 mile from the town hall but go past a "Welcome to Atherton " sign about 100 yds from home......

We'll they would only need to "Welcome to Leigh" sign about 200 yards
