Kicked off in ground, fev fans had to go past leigh fans and looked like leigh fans were singing and chanting at fev fans, some took offense to it and then it kicked off, punches thrown etc. Got calmed down, then kicked off again by turnstiles, again eventually got calmed down, stewards tried to get leigh fans on coaches. Once they got to coach it kicked OFF again, police were called (took a good 20 mins

) once police arrived situation seem to have been calmed down, at which point i went home after having a good chat with a few leigh fans and a bit of banter.

Its spoilt what in truth was an awesome game, it should be remember for been game of season not for fights and trouble which, unfortunalty it will be.

I blame

I said good game to a Fev fan on the way out, and his response was "what do you mean good game", in a very aggressive manner. It's not like I asked if I could sleep with his wife. No wonder Halifax had to segregate the Fev fans.

I think the incident between Leigh/Fev fans after the game is being slightly exaggerated to say the least by people who aren't even at the game (Jumping on the 'lets all hate Fev fans band wagon'!!! It was a great game and a very good, friendly atmosphere inside the ground from what I saw so let's not let a few silly kids/men spoil what was a great game of Rugby league between 2 very good teams.

Well a Leigh fan said good game to me,and we had abit of banter about the game,nice and friendly like it should be. Dont go think all fans are the same cos what i saw after the game you have your fair share of nutters too.

Halifax did a brilliant job of seperating the fans at there place,till after the game when both sets of fans came out of the same gate,was there any bother? No,none at all!!

You'd probably have to blow her up first.

as i left the ground i was approached by an older fev fan and told tof@ck off back to wigan,i simply smiled back a him at which point he became even more abusive and threatened to "kill me".I got in my car and he banged on he roof and spat a the windsceen,at which point his mate pulled him away.while i understand thar 99% of fev fans are decent and friendly fans the club have got to do something about the aggressive behaviour of the minority.

Nice. And if you'd have got out of your car and flattened him you'd be in the wrong. You did well to rise above this idiot mate. Nothing against Fev fans specifically but incidents like this anywhere should be investigated.

Its all a case of 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. It was started 10metres away from me behind the sticks and and finished half an hour later.
Simple as that really, shouldnt have happened but it did, nobody was seriously hurt, although there were a few close calls near the coaches with a Fev fan chucking a glass, just missing a Leyther.

Still undefeated, they didnt put 50 past us and its now clear that Leigh Centuri'O'ns are the team to beat this year. Well done lads.

Every team has got a bad minority of fans but Fevs bad minority is truly scum. Thats the reason most Fax fans will watch the semi final on tv rather than go and support the team over there. Sad day when RL comes to that.

Dont know how it started but it ended in the ground, the fans were intermingled on the way out and no trouble till the gates, 1 Leigh fan with a white Leigh T-shirt on and wore glasses didnt appear to want to leave and was being led out by stewards but didnt take the hint and kept coming back in, then no one wanted to leave nor get on their bus, a lot of what happened couldve been prevented if fans wouldve got on the bus

Pretty accurate description really, I was walking behind the sticks when it kicked off. It was started by people throwing ale at fev fans on the way out, one took exception (as you would) and a few skinny leythers got a slap, which to be honest I do not think they were expecting. I and a few others broke this incident up although one Leigh fan in particular seemed intent on carrying it on. You may know him? Tall skinny, dark cropped hair, glasses, was wearing a white top with a diagonal blue and red strip on it. And as you said it escalated from this.

Its a shame the idiots did not do what the majority of your fans did and face the pitch and applaud your players for a great comeback.

thecaptain - Please get in touch with Featherstone & Leigh with descriptions of who it was, so the club can crack down on this behaviour.

This is going to get massively blown out of proportion as Featherstone are involved, I had a laugh with a Fev fan behind the sticks when we were 28-16 down, he was a proper fan, even had 'FEV' as his car registration as he was parked next to us.

Crap end to a decent game of rugby. Both supporters to blame, but what can you do?

I agree with Jimmy 85 cos I was near the start of the trouble too.

Took a phone call from a friend to tell me one Leyther has lost all his teeth and another a badly bruised face. She also told me a friend of mine with a walking stick was punched in the face and also about the police escort for the LISA coach.

No idea why the trouble kicked off and a shame coming at the end of a very entrtaining game.

the same lad as mentioned on here didn't want to leave. Agreed. Neither would i after some drunken 45-50 year old featherstone lout had hit me in the back of the head. The vast majority of fev fans were very accomodating today, i myself had a good chat with a couple of blokes in the toilet at half time. It seemed to be the general consensus that the fev "fan" at the heart of it, was not a regular, and had caused trouble before.

I was right there and it was started by leythers throwing beer at people myself included, your right one fev fan did crack a couple of leythers, after being covered in ale and goaded, as for the skinny lad I actually pulled him out of harms way once and he jumped straight back in, he was also being restrained again further down on his way out.

Always plenty to see when there is Fev fans involved. What do you expect? Theres people who travel with young families to games, do you really think they want to take them to a team that trouble seems to follow around? Its a sad thing to think the coward that put Dave Singer in hospital probably still goes to the games because some people didnt have the bottle to `grass` on him. You think anyone who can blindside an innocent man would have scruples on doing the same to a child or women?

It probably wont stop me and a few others going to the Fev games but i will make sure i am very careful about my own and the people i am withs personal safety. Shouldnt have to be like that at a RL game but a scum minority make it like that.

I think enoughs been said about this on here. If anyone has seen any of trouble and can identify the instigators then I suggest they contact the Featherstone and/or Leigh clubs about and get the idiots banned.

Now let's concentrate on the rugby.
