The Watcher is wondering if Beaumonts latest idea, generous though it is, has been thought through properly. The Watcher hopes that all the regulars, who pay on the day, get a ticket for the Batley game. There could be a few frustrated speccies out there if all the tickets are gone before they have had a chance to get to the club. Perhaps just 2 tickets each would of been better. The Watcher also hopes if all the tickets are taken, there are no empty seats on show.

I'd say it has been thought through properly , just that the response will have shocked , I doubt even Dereck would have expected the scene's we've seen today outside the ticket office

That is very true Col,my wife was there this afternoon and a guy in front of her asked for 4 tickets they gave them to him , then his young daughter who was around 10 years old asked for 4 and she was given 4 as well,the mind boggles.

The Mo thinks the demand has been greater than anticipated but all who want a ticket will end up with one. I am sure some will try to make money from this but I would advocate a snatch squad to size these if they are being touted, and is a sign of the low life that exists in society like the ones who steal flowers off graves etc. 5 days before the game you will never get it right but that is irrelevant when compared to the generosity of the offer, and remember all fans who bought in advance will get a ticket as will all ST holders

The Watcher is a season ticket holder & he bought his ST before the season started, at that time he didn't know if Leigh would qualify for the middle eights. The deal therefore was if we got into the middle eights The Watcher would get 2 free games, which would be selected by the club.

If we didn't make the middle 8s you would have had games in the Championship 8 s

So what is your point ?

The Watcher is incorrect as the season ticket included 3 home games from the 8s competition with the 4th if we got 4 a paid for game pro rata at ST prices.

The VL is miffed that he bought a season ticket and is not getting value for money as he is not getting to not go to the Batley game for free. Come to think of it he hasn't been able to get to any of the games. He also bought 2 LCTV memberships but only gets to watch games on one of the membership at a time....
OK so I I gave the season ticket and one LCTV membership to my Dad, but the point is, like many others, I did it because I'm a supporter who wants the best for his club. This gesture will fill the LSV, give the coaches, staff, players and fans a day to remember, and probably win us some extra supporters next season.
I applaud the idea, the gesture and wish I could have the chance to not get into the ground because it was totally full and I got there too late to get a free ticket.

Also Gubbrat is right us season ticket holders have already paid for the Batley game but The Watcher for one will not be asking for his money back, he will be enjoying the atmosphere that a mainly full ground brings. The Watcher can assure Budgiezilla that he's going nowhere & to be honest he doesn't think that this post is negative, The Watcher was only trying Tomane the point that some regular paying supporters may find themselves locked out whilst there are empty seats inside the stadium.

The Mo understands the frustrations of the few and the whingings of some, but reminds all that fans ask what can they do for the club the love not what can the club do for them. Saturday will bring together many families now scattered across our shores to share in this great occasion, many of these will see what a brilliant family orientated club that has been created and want more.
There was never going to be a right way, even ST first at 4 per head would mean 8500 tickets gone before regular Bob who doesn't have a ST gets one, and North and West still sold out
Celebrate what we have and will have, be part of it and remember those dark times we have endured to be where we are

i must admit that i will feel a little annoyed on saturday,when having bought our tickets last week,i may be surrounded by people on freebies.we will not be asking for a refund,but think as everyone keeps talking about GESTURES,that the club give any money from tickets already purchased to a worthy cause.ie BENS WISH.i dont intend to offend anyone with my comments.UP THE CENTURIANS.

The Derek understands The Watcher as a ST holder will be receiving a commemorative gift as a thank you for being a ST holder and his understanding in allowing non ST holders in for free.
