OK, we were never gonna win the game, BUT our 'build up' to the batley/fev games in the last 2 weeks made it a difficult task anyway, and after 10 minutes the REF absolutely caned us, why ???
It was laughable at times, didn't prevent us from winning I know, but can't remember a game like that for years where the 'man in the middle' appears to bent - even though he's NOT, any 'little' thing we did got punished, but it wasn't the same for the opposition.
NOT SOUR GRAPES, just the margin of defeat is hard to take......

Tell you what mate, that is exactly what I've just been saying.

We gifted them the first 3 tries down the Gardener/Clay flank. The tackling was abysmal and the game was over in those 10 mins

It was then all down to the referee, Your quite correct

No complaints from me about the score,give away that many daft penalties,and miss that many tackles and thats what you get.

The scoreline reflected the game. We have too many walking wounded and rely to heavily on Riddy as the only half back. Rovers dominated from start to finish.

Featherstone were much better than us, without being fantastic, but we still conceded 54.
My thread is not about the Ref, but did we deserve that scoreline ??

Unfortunately we see a few 'glory grabbers' walking round Leigh in their pie shirts, they are always really ugly or fat, and every single time I spot one of the ugly/fat gits, with their fow wife/husband I always shout LEIGH, they just look at the pavement, scared of any confrontation. They can only be 'cocky' via message boards.forum's. They just don't have the b@lls. Hope Fax make it through, will be a great final !!!!

Tonight went pretty much as many had predicted. Leigh gave it their best but for various reasons came up short. I think we would of won no matter which team you put out as we are starting to really hit our straps and getting better each game.

On a side note it was good to see you again charlie and thanks for the drink

We were poor, ref was poor but hats off to Fev were superb tonight from defence to attack they outplayed us in every position, well drilled and well coached, they will take some stopping this season.

Well I tell you what, you can have him and we'll have Finn, pardon my French bit ridyard this year is a bag of shiiiiite, agree or disagree I don't care not only him but 3/4 of the team don't seam commited or interested, all that I want is a decent performance where no gob*hites blame the referee or a decision. Don't get me wrong the club has come along way since October but that sort of performance is not acceptable.... Rant over thank you and goodnight

we watched it in the miners (only finished work 7pm) and the amount of time they were allowed to hold us down and maul about in the tackle was unbelievable.we were never gonna win it with the problems with injuries but it just seemed we did anything and the whistle went.
everyone in our group was saying the same thing

I'm getting myself down to the Don Valley tomorrow. I fancy Sheffield and if I'm being honest I hope they win. Won't make the best atmos for a final but I'll live with that.
