Anyone any suggestions as to how us as supporters can assist the club in improving the matchday experience at the LSV? I think a big factor in getting new supporters to keep coming back is if it's a good atmosphere etc so I certainly think we have a big part to play in helping to increase our support.

And as seems to be tradition at this time of year, and linked to the above, is it time for new flag suggestions? Already got £40 in the fun carried over from last season.

I'll throw 20 or 40 in for the flag if others are willing to throw in. Erm with regards to the matchday experience all i can think of is wait until next season's squad is finalised, get some posters in shops in atherton, leigh and surrounding areas, get a fans, players and IM night or something along those lines.

I was thinking more in terms of actual stuff on a matchday - the scarf idea caught on earlier in the season so that'd be great if it was resurrected a bit. Would be ace if they dropped the beer prices in the Legends Bar as well to create a bit of a matchday focal point for fans to meet up etc.

can we pinch that song off leeds...marching on together.

Its a leeds united song, it winds me up when the whino's sing it so we'd best not start. Leave it to football.

Hattons High Ball at EVERY game, but do it with a home and away supporter.

Try and group the away fans together in a section to provide an atmosphere.

Matt. any idea how much flags like this one would be? With perhaps LEIGH across the top, either the COA or logo in centre and Our Town , Our Team, Our Dream along the bottom.



Don't know how much we (you) usually raise but what about instead of a big flag look at donating an individual flag to all kids who purchase Season tickets? Kids waving flags will improve the experience.

I'd still like to see photos of fans on the screen, perhaps Wayne could take some fan shots from one game, and showing them before the next game, over time you'd get people pulling funny faces etc

i know it is,but when the music is playing and they're all singing to it,it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

we definitely need an easy song to sing that everyone can join in with. and they need to be able to play the music to it through the speakers.

Great idea that Glow, though absolutely no idea on cost as I don't think Barmy Flags manufacture the smaller ones. Believe the club have sold summat similar in the past if anyone has any ideas?

I like the idea of the legends bar being used more, I miss the get together in the mick martyn bar type scenario, it was an important part of the machday experience and it needs to be the same now tha LSV is starting to feel like home .

The north stand flag is a good one too, and again Matt count me in if you need to this year.

I was actually thinking of a "Can we have our shirts back, please?" flag aimed at the Pies but "North Stand Leythers" or summat like that sounds good to me (West Standers, feel free to get one of your own

What design flag Matt? Red and white hoops? England? Union Jack?

I remembered the last time we discussed flags, I said I'd try and get prices from a supplier we use for printing at work, he couldn't do the large ones, but says he can do 3 x 2 flags for about £5.

I've given him some info and he's going to knock me up a couple of samples, should have them within a week or two.

I'll post a photo when received.

Whether we go for this as 'Flags 4 kids' or a new one for the North stand you can count me in for my usual £20.
