Having said that , it is the 1st time this season we havent got anything from a game , and every other club apart from Fev have already had matches without getting anything , so it had to happen eventually , the run in will be very difficult , but the important thing will be to be in ' good shape ' when the play offs arrive

The answer is for the RFL to wake up smell the coffee and re introduce the dream, more clubs are in financial difficulty now than ever before, there are more overseas players than ever before, no more young talent than before, expansion is failing, all in all the franchise system is b0llocks!

As for this season its been easily getting giddy time compared to what happened last season.

then what happened to the lockouts for all those league games prior to 2007 ?

Surely clubs suffered more by chasing dreams with sod all people supporting them unless they got to GF.

Well my view is we have more clubs in trouble now in all 3 leagues compared to the situation before franchising. We also will never beat OZ until quotas are introduced for all clubs. Footie is a classic example of why we endured that drivel on Saturday evening.

We also have more football clubs in trouble, businesses going belly up - money is a bit tight at moment I think. Are you blaming franchises for this too ? I was watching a documentary the other week about the banking collapse, and RL was mentioned as the first domino to push the rest over because of franchising - Northern Rock had nowt over problems this caused the financial world. One quote from a financier on the Tokyo stock exchange was quoted as saying "That boody wewis haaz a lock to answer for!"


Just my little joke against the exagerations that are said on here.

Its irrelevant to me because unlike RL football fans would not have it. Football season is actually supported week in week out, and is nationwide with excellent facilities for supporters. Promotion and relegation is exciting, so why change it?
But getting back to my football club, we last won league in 1968 with all English side (sounds familiar), with a side comprised of a lot of lower league players who became legends. This will never happen again. Thats how football has progressed. OK, PL is biggest league in the world with all that money and media attention - but clubs deffo not doing things the right way.

No club is in financial difficulty because of franchising , as for the rest I wont disagree
