| This chap played in the half-back position for Leigh around the turn of the 19th. Century and I believe he was a prodigious goal scorer. I'm trying to find out more about him. He also played for St. Helens (1895) and Swinton (1906). I think he was born in Runcorn in 1871 and married a lady called Emily. He represented Leigh at meetings of the Northern Union for many years. I also think he lived for at least forty years at 34 Henrietta Street, Leigh. I'd welcome confirmation on any of the above and anything you could add.
