Some very good positives from yesterday with a good turn out despite the weather conditions.
A few of the guys were playing their first league game and all of them want to play in the next round.
The standard is improving each game as well as increasing numbers so despite the result it was a very good day for CRL.
It was great to meet up with mapleyther who i'm sure at one point shouted come on Leigh!

Well I did have some chicken noodle soup just before I arrived at the ground but it wasn't much help. The big mistake was forgetting gloves and hat - Spring does it to me every year in Canada, you think spring has sprung and then you get hit with a blizzard out of the blue. Summer will be half over in Britain before it even starts in Canada!

I am not sure which was worse, watching from the sidelines or playing. At least playing keeps you warm, but I don't imagine the astroturf was too friendly!

Thinking back it was a mistake to shave my hair before the game and not take a hat.

Though I would have swapped the 18 degrees and back yard family BBQ for a place on the side lines watching the game to be honest.
Well done to the Centurions to run an established team so close and don't worry you'll get em in the Grand Final

With the prospect of Rugby League teams in BC soon, we could have a Coast to Coast Grand Final one day!
