Quote ="The Watcher"As I see it who ever owned the ground & its furnishings obviously didn't want to auction them off,I am merely suggesting that either club could/should have asked if they might of held a sale of memorabilia from the old girl.Lots of people have lots of memories & may have been interested in obtaining a keepsake.Things like, door signs, changing room coat hangers, the seats from the stands, patches of turf (especially if loved ones ashes had been spread there),crash barriers (it has been known mainly when football went all seater),the opposition team name- boards from the scoreboard, the numbers from the scoreboard, the letters T,G & DG from the scoreboard or even turnstiles. Folk really will purchase anything, just look on e-bay.'"
Did you ask them for a keepsake and was refused?
