| I for one have always appreciated having the likes of Moran and Middleton at the club and what they have done.
Sky money alone as not been enough in recent years and owners are dipping in their own pockets, it’s why I have spoke about growing the game financially through better marketing and media and we can’t do that unless all clubs get onboard and not just look out for their own interests.
I’d like to think people here that have far more information than I do and have looked at how the NRL are doing it and still growing the sport there. Are biggest problem is Football is much bigger here than Australia and Union through the National team is much bigger but we have to find a way to tap into those markets.
Hopefully the Ashes series can help and got to hope we sell it to the country and make it a big spectacle. Look at the Ashes in Cricket it’s beyond huge when that is on. Look at it and take ideas from it to aid promotion.
And for the love of god someone at RFL get a grip of the graphics department at the BBC and stop making us look like a cartoon.

| Let's be honest Karetaker ,all sport in this country loses out big time to football in tv coverage & revenue terms. The first sport little Johnny or Jenny hear about on the news or sports programmes is football. Everything except soccer , in terms of tv coverage, is pushed to the margins.
On another thread , the lack of homegrown talent in RL is talked about along with the quick fix of southern hemisphere ,usually substandard ,imports. The same is true of our football Premier League clubs who rely on overseas players to compete on the European stage.

| So this current deal runs to end of 2026 and the talk about expansion is just that till the next TV deal. Surely they can’t let it go lower.
