I don't want any new name on the trophy until we win it, even if it takes us another 70 years. Wigan, Saints or Leeds every year until then please (or an unlikely Bradford resurgence).

I also fully expected Wigan to win it even before tonight, so at least if they do it won't be us on the receiving end at Old Trafford.

Finally the last time I wanted an individual player to lose a game not involving Warrington as much as I want Mikey Lewis to lose next week was Luke Gale in the 2017 final. He was thoroughly shown up, much to my enjoyment, and here's hoping Lewis will be too.

To be fair Burgess didn't cry or look a fool. He said Hull Kr have been great all season and are a great team and actually mentioned about how it was weak tackling that allowed Burgess in that position.

You can’t have a GF place decided on such a dubious call. Ref was not in a good place to judge and what the VR saw only added to the belief that it as not grounded. Burgess confirmed it. Needs to change. As a Cas fan Wigan are far from my favourite team but cannot see them not winning it. Surprised Warrington didn’t win to be fair, but to lose on a decision like that is pish poor.

I don't care who wins next week. I used to want us to be the first outside the 4 to win it, but I don't care any more. We'll win it one day.

I couldn't in good faith say I wanted Wigan to win if they were playing an Alien XIII for the future of our planet, but would definitely tolerate a victory for them over the other choices.

As is Joe Burgess, laughing on TV that he didn't ground the ball mind you, the rules are a joke so he's every right to laugh.

I think all sour grapes need to be set aside here, as much as I think Lewis is a nob, the game as a whole is absolutely desperate for a new name on the trophy. Wigan again would be a travesty. Perhaps Hull Kr or Leigh winning will open the floodgates up finally. So yeah, Hull KR for me. We were done over by the ref, not them.

I want Leigh, primarily cus they beat us twice this year so no qualms seeing them go on to win it. No doubt they'll poop the bed tonight and it'll all be 'one game too many' in their streak but we'll see.

I don't hate any Wigan players as much as I hate Mikey Lewis though. Indeed if Leigh do manage to win tonight, then as much as he's an attention seeking helmet, even Derek Beaumont is more likeable than Mikey Lewis.
