My big concern with Dufty at 6 is his defence - I'm just not sure he's up to it and will get seriously targeted by Leeds.

I can't see Powell dropping Dudson either, but I'd certainly be tempted given his stats in the last game.

What I want and what I think are different. I think he’ll go:

Dufty, Russell, Wrench, Minikin, Ashton, Ratchford, Drinkwater, Dudson, Walker, Vaughan, Currie, Matautia, Philbin.
Bench: Clark, Kasiano, Bullock, Holroyd.

Thewlis must surely be selected in the 17 man squad.

I would have him start in his best position every game, but I fear after last week he may be the victim of the axe.

That would be harsh considering he was best player on the pitch the week before.

Similar last year though, played well at fullback when Dufty was out, dropped for 1 game, back in on the wing for Wigan away and was one of the better players, then dropped again.

If that happens then the club really need To look at the coaching structure as there are plenty of others that need dropping first including Daryl if a bad game means your immediately out

And the stats posted about Dudson would suggest he should be dropped. Why was I not born a Widnes fan.

You're right about dufty, it was wrench on the wing not thewlis, hut 2nd half they bombed the crap out of the back 3.

Thats scarred in my head as a night as it was my lads first away game and it was bloody awful.

I made a point of telling him to not look miserable in the last 10 minutes as sky will be looking for wire fans with slapped faces

While they did get a bit of a bombardment, I came away quite impressed with them and how they kept turning up. Just had a look out of interest and Thewlis made 170 meters, one error. 5 tackle busts and a clean break. Not deserving to be dropped the next week, in my opinion. Joint most meters (Ashton) and joint most busts (Williams).

The best defence is attack.
